International Company Secretaries Olympiad :

The ICSO is conducted in partnership with The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, a statutory body under an Act of Parliament, under the administrative control of The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.

Registration of Students:
The ICSO is open to the students of classes 11 & 12. Prospectus containing the Registration forms are sent to all schools registered with SOF. Schools not registered may also request for prospectus by sending an e-mail at info[AT]sofworld.org/ phone call. Schools must return the registration forms to SOF, duly filled in and complete in all respects by the due date.

Roll Numbers:
The school’s coordinating teacher will generate the students’ Roll Numbers as per the guidelines given. A copy of these roll numbers along with the Students’ Registration Sheet (SRS) and School Registration Form (SRF) should be sent to the Foundation’s office before the due date of submission of forms.

Foundation will register the applicant school and the students and dispatch question papers and guidelines for conducting the examination. Principals / teachers may please note that any school can be registered as a center for ICSO.

No fee is required from the institution to become a registered examination centre. A minimum of 5 students need to be registered for ICSO from each school for feasibility reasons.

The ICSO is conducted on two dates. Each school may select a date for conducting the ICSO as per its convenience. Each date of exam has a separate question paper. Change of date for conducting ICSO is not permitted. ICSO is a single level exam.

Students should register through their respective schools only. Individual registrations by students are not accepted.

Fees: A nominal participation fee is charged from each student. Part of it is retained by the school for its expenses as exam center. Details about the fee / mode of payment etc. are given in the School Registration Forms sent to schools.

The International Company Secretaries Olympiad:
The test is organized in the respective schools of the participants during school hours.
(i) The Olympiad is a written objective-type test of 60 minutes duration comprising 50 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for class11 & class 12.
(ii) The question paper consists of five sections:
Section-1: Quantitative Analysis Reasoning
Section-2: Economics
Section-3: Business Studies
Section-4: Accountancy
Section-5: Achievers Section
(iii) There are separate question papers for each class.
(iv) The medium of the test is English.
(v) CBSE, ICSE/ISC and State Board syllabi are followed for setting the test papers.
(vi) The exam is conducted during school hours.

AWARDS/SCHOLARSHIPS/RECOGNITIONS :
For the academic year 2017-18, SOF will spend over Rs. 15.2 Crores on awards, Scholarships, gifts & felicitations etc.

The following awards will be provided to the winners International Company Secretaries Olympiad being held during the academic year 2017-18.

AWARDS/SCHOLARSHIPS – STUDENTS :
International, Zonal and Class topper awards will be provided to winners of ICSO.

Each winner will be entitled to one award for ICSO. The winners will be entitled to the higher level award only. For eg,. the international top 5 rank holders will be entitled to awards based on their International ranks. Awards accruing to them for Zonal ranks will be given to the next rank holder. Similarly, school award accruing to a Zonal award winner will be given to the next rank holder.

AT INTERNATIONAL LEVEL  :

*Medal of Distinction + Certificate of distinction will be awarded for 1st level Ranks.
**Certificate of Zonal Excellence will be awarded for final Ranks.
*Medals are Gold / Silver / Bronze color plated as applicable

In case two or more students achieve the same rank, cash award in the applicable category will be distributed as under:
International Winners :
For up to 9 students getting same rank, award amount will be distributed equally + medal (in the applicable category) and certificate.
In case 10 & more students get same rank, in lieu of cash award, each winner will be awarded gifts worth Rs.1,000/- each + a medal ( in the applicable category) and a Certificate.

Zonal Winners :
For up to 4 students getting same rank, award amount will be distributed equally + medal (in the applicable category) and certificate.
In case 5 & more students get same rank, in lieu of cash award, each winner will be awarded gifts worth Rs.1,000/- each + a medal (in the applicable category) and a Certificate.
