Sakshi Math Bee Competition :

What is Sakshi Math Bee?
** The Sakshi Math Bee is a math competition where students from grade 1- 10 compete in four categories.

** The competition includes a real world interactive competition culminating in a state level event held at Hyderabad.

** The goal is to find a way to get children to learn something and to be interested in it.
** This is not something one has to get them to do. This is something they will want to do.
** The Sakshi Math Bee is conducted in both states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana at par with academic standards followed by the state education boards.

** The Sakshi Math Bee uses a combination of children’s natural desire to play, compete and participate to effectively hone math skills. Sakshi Math Bee 2016, the Second edition mathematics competition is open for students from grade 1 to 10.

** It is aimed at nurturing mathematical skills among children in a challenging environment. Its helps students Younger children are encouraged to participate, on equal basis, solely with the aim of familiarizing them with the contest to achieve extraordinary levels of speed and accuracy with their math skills.

Registration Process :
** For Math Bee, an amount of Rs.15 can be retained by schools towards administration expenses i.e. the school has to deposit Rs.235/-only per registration. This is applicable for a min 25 registrations and above.
** For Individual Registration – Rs. 250/- per head

** The payment receipts counter foil to be retained by the depositor and to be produced as and when required by the Sakshi Math Bee
** One “Math Mate” book as reference material will be given against one registration.
** The Math book is only for reference and not a syllabus.

A contest divided broadly into 4 levels based on the student’s grade and exam will be conducted in four categories as below :
** Category I – Class 1 & 2
** Category II – Class 3 & 4
** Category III – Class 5, 6 & 7
** Category IV- Class 8, 9 & 10

Gratification :
The Prizes for the winners of Sakshi Math Bee are as below :
1st Prize : Gold Medal + Rs. 15,000/-
2nd Prize : Silver Medal + Rs. 10,000/-
3rd Prize : Bronze medal + Rs. 5,000/-

** Champion School Trophy for each contest.( Maximum number of winners from a school)
** Medals/Trophies for winners and certificates for all participants.

Rules And Regulations :
First Round – Preliminary :
** This will be a written test and will be conducted in schools by the school management on the guidelines given by Sakshi Math Bee. Question paper will be sent by the Sakshi Team. School management will conduct the preliminary round in the school itself.

** Answer sheet will be provided by Sakshi Math Bee and No Xerox copies of the same will be allowed.

** The question paper will be provided by Sakshi Math Bee through emails only to the email address given by the school management in the registration form.
** The school should correct the answer sheets with in a given specified time period.

** It will be the responsibility of the school management to send the list of the top 20% of the participant students to sakshimathbee AT gmail.com.
** Top 20% of the total registered students will be eligible to qualify for the second round. First round will be a forty questions written exam which is to be attempted in forty minutes.

Second Round – Quarter Finals :
** This will be a written test and will be conducted in districts headquarters. Students will take the test at a venue arranged by “Sakshi Team”.
** The second round at the district level will be conducted at the respective districts headquarters.

** The centers may be added or changed in case of any unforeseen situation.
** The students must come dressed in school uniform for the second and subsequent rounds.
** The student should carry the school ID card.

Finals :
** This will be an Oral test and will be conducted at Hyderabad. There will be two State Finals one for Telangana and the other for Andhra Pradesh.

Note :
** The Judge’s decision is Final in all the contests and matters concerning the contest and cannot be contested for any reasons whatsoever.
** Format is subject to change as per the discretion of the Bee Master.

** The rules and regulations will may be changed or amended in case the need arises.
** All participants will need to abide by the rules and regulations of the competition.
