Sonar Darshak Watch & Win Contest :

The following are the rules for a “Sonar Darshak” Watch & Win Contest” (“Contest”)’ which will be held on the daily newspaper “Sangbad Pratidin” (“Newspaper”) and Colors Bangla (“Channel”) from November 13, 2017 until 8th December, 2017.

These Rules set forth the terms of the agreement between Viacom18 Media Private Limited (“Company”) and each participant who participates in the Contest.

By entering the Contest, the entrant (“Participant(s)”) unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by the terms and conditions herein (“Terms”). The decisions of Company for all matters relating to the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects.

PARTICIPANT’S ELIGIBILITY :
A. The Contest is open only to the residents of West Bengal (“Territory”) who are 18 years and above as on November 12, 2017.
B. Participants should provide all the required information, which has been asked from them. Any incomplete submission will be considered invalid for the purpose of the Contest.

C. The Contest is not open to the permanent and/or contract employees and directors of the Company, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies and each of their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the Contest and (ii) advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers of prizes, and/or entities connected with the Program or for the promotion of the Contest.

CONTEST PROCEDURE :
A. The Contest shall be held starting from 13th November, 2017 until 8th December, 2017 (“Contest Period”) (all the Contest Dates are collectively referred to as the “Contest Period”).

B. Every day (“Contest Date”) during the Contest Period, the Channel shall publish in the Newspaper 1 question alongwith 3 number of options i.e. A, B and C or 1, 2 and 3 relating to one of the program/s that will be telecast on the Channel during the course of such day.

The Newspaper shall also publish in the publication the name of the program, the time of telecast of such program on the Channel (“Telecast Time”) along with other details relating to the Contest.

C. Medium for participating in the Contest: The Participants can participate in the Contest through by sending a Short Messaging Service (SMS) mentioning the respective code for that particular week and the correct option and send it to the mobile number 8010188888 (“Mobile Number”) in the following manner:

D. Participation: On each Contest Date, the Participant(s) may watch the program (as specified in the publication in the Newspaper) on the Channel.

The Participants are then required to mention the Weekly Program Code alongwith the correct option/answer and send it via SMS to the Mobile Number during the period starting from the start of the telecast of the respective program in relation to which the question has been asked until 11:59 PM of the same Contest Date (hereafter referred to as “Last Date”).

For eg: To send a response to a question asked on particular Contest Date in Week 1, the Participant needs to type Jhumur <A/B/C> and send to 8010188888.

E. The Company/Channel reserves the rights to add/ delete/ modify the modes of participation in the Contest. Participant should check with their respective telecom operators for the availability of this service and the cost of each SMS.
A reasonable level of skill is required. Participants can send only one SMS from one mobile number until the Last Date.
F. The Company shall not be responsible in the event SMS is not received and also for technical error of any nature whatsoever that results in a SMS not being received.
G. The Company shall not be responsible for any entries submitted but not received or recorded due to any reason whatsoever.

H. There is no cost involved in for registration of the Contest. However, the network operator or the internet service provider shall charge such amount as deemed fit by them for the usage of the services. The Company shall, in no circumstances, be responsible to reimburse any such cost incurred by the Participant on account of such participation in the Contest.

I. The Company shall not be responsible in case of any network problems such as breakdown of machinery, unclear network, disruption in the network and/or any cost of the SMS charged by the telecom operator. Any dispute in connection to the same shall be settled between the Participant(s) and the telecom operator without involving the Company.

J. In case of telecom and/or network failure, the Company reserves the right to change the Contest mechanism or take such necessary steps as it may deem fit.

K. All entries via SMS shall have to be sent in the abovementioned manner only and if sent in a manner other than that mentioned above, the same shall not be considered as valid and as such, shall not be included in the tabulation of correct answers received. Also, incorrect/ incomplete/ invalid SMS’s shall not be counted as a valid Participation; however, the same shall be chargeable.

L. Any cost of the SMS is decided at the sole discretion of the respective telecom operators and may vary across telecom operators.. Participant(s) is required to check with his or her respective cellular/ mobile operator for details regarding the same. All such costs and other incidental costs, if any, that may arise from voting will be borne by the Participant(s) and the Company shall not be liable to bear the same in any event in any manner.

M. The Participant may, get a reply once his / her answer has been registered at the back-end. The Participant shall hold the Company / Channel / sub-contractors harmless in case the response message has not been received by him. The Participant shall also hold the Company / Channel and / or its sub-contractors harmless in case of receipt of the response message despite the Participant being registered for National – Do Not Disturb service.

N. Post submission of the entry via SMS, the Participant(s) will not be permitted to modify / alter / change any details.

O. Participant(s) may send only one (1) entry from one registered number and only entries received within the Last Date on the respective Contest Date shall be considered valid. It is further clarified that for a Participant to be declared as a Winner for a particular Contest Date, he/she should have correctly answered the question asked on such Contest Date within the Last Date.

PRIZE:
Each Winner shall stand a chance to win a jewellery voucher worth Rs. 3000/- from Senco Gold Ltd. The Prize/s may be claimed by the Winners, subject to the terms and conditions as specified below for the Prize. The Winners shall be contacted by the Company or any of its authorized representatives.
