The Annual Music, Recitation, Story-telling & Drama competitions will be held on January 21, 27 & 28, 2018, at the Club premises.

Recitation – Std V to IX:
Time: 9:30 am / Date: 21st Jan 2018 [Sunday]

Note:
Participants must submit a written/printed copy of the poem & its author; same student may participate in more than one language. Separate prizes for each language

Drama (Group Event) – Std V to IX:
Time: 3:00 pm / Date: 21st Jan 2018 [Sunday]

Note:
Participants must submit a written/printed copy of the synopsis of the play & its author. Each group to comprise of 4 or 5 students only

Folk Music (Group Event) – Std V to IX :
Time: 3:00 pm / Date: 21st Jan 2018 [Sunday]

Each group to comprise of 4 or 5 students only

Story Telling – Std I to Std IV :
Time: 9:30 am / Date: 27th Jan 2018 [Saturday]

Classical Music Senior Std V to IX :

Time: Vocal Carnatic – 9:30 am / Violin – 12:00 pm / Mridangam – 12:30 pm / Bhajan – 2:30 pm / Hindustani – 3:30 pm

Classical Music Junior Std I to IV :
Date: 28th Jan 2018, Sunday
Time: Vocal Carnatic – 9:30 am / Violin – 12:00 pm / Bhajan – 2:30 pm / Hindustani – 3:30 pm

Note:
Participants must submit the name, the composition, kriti and ragam in writing to the judges. Same student may participate in more than one category (4 minutes each)

Competitions Rules

1. Any present student of a school in Chennai ( Std I to std IX only) may participate
2. Participate fee: Rs. 100/- per participant for each individual event and Rs. 200/- for each group event is applicable.(each group to comprise of 4 or 5 students only)
3. Last date for receipt of entries for all events: 17.01.2018 (Wednesday) by 5:00 PM.
4. Participants should report at the Club at least 15 minutes before the commencement of the event. Change of participants will be permitted only if intimated 1 day in advance to the competition
5. Judges, nominated by the Club, will select the FIRST and SECOND winners in each event. Consolation prizes will be awarded at the discretion of the judges. The judges’ decision will be final and binding on all matters relating to the competitions.
6. Prizes will be distributed on the Club’s Founder’s Day function to be announced First prize winners may be required to perform their at the Founder’s Day function.
