Sony Alpha Community Photo Contest

It’s not just a picture that you look at. There is more to it. Every picture has a story to tell, a story that is inspired by the world we live in.

Submit photographs clicked with α and express interesting story to the world for the given theme of the month. Stand a chance to win an α lens every month.

How to Participate

** Upload your photos taken in the monthly theme.
** Entries will be judged by Alpha expert Dheeraj Paul.
** Winner will be contacted by Sony India via email.
** Prize delivery will be arranged locally.

Terms & Conditions

** Participation in the contest is voluntary.
** Participants are advised to read the “Terms and Conditions”.
** Participation in the contest shall imply that the participant has duly read and agrees to adhere to and bound by the “Terms and Conditions” stated herein.
** The contest will include themes for the whole month.
** Every month a new theme will be revealed for registered α community members to participate.
** “α Photo Contest Photo submission” shall start from 1st of every month and continue till the last day of the same month, starting April 2017.
** “α Photo Contest Photo Submission” is open to citizens of India, residing in India only, who own an α or RX series camera and are also registered users on the α Community.

** Employees of Sony India Pvt. Ltd. (“Sony India”), Sony Entertainment television (SET), Sony Videos (SPE) and its affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives and immediate family members of such Sony group companies employees are not eligible to participate in the contest.

** Citizens of foreign countries residing in India/ or non-residents Indians are also not eligible to participate in the contest.
** Sony India will scrutinize all users for conditions mentioned under the ambit of “REJECTION/DISQUALIFICATION”.
** Any user found flouting the “REJECTION/DISQUALIFICATION” terms will be disqualified immediately without any prior notice to the participant.
** Sony India cannot be held liable for such action.

** Sony India shall not be liable for any damage or loss (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) arising from personal injury or death, or loss of, or damage to property, which might be suffered or sustained in connection with the Contest or the prize, except to the extent to any liability not excluded by law.

** Photos submitted to the respective theme will only be eligible for choosing winner of the same theme.
** In each theme, 1 winner will be chosen.
** Winners will be chosen on Sole Discretion of an α Expert nominated by Sony India.
** Sony India reserves the final rights to choose the winners of the contests.

Winners

** Sony α experts in their own discretion reserve the sole right to decide on winners of the respective themes.
** Their decision on the winner is final and binding upon all participants.
** Sony India shall do a rigorous check to verify the authenticity of winners.
** This would include a check on the genuinity of the winners and their adherence to the Terms & Conditions of this Contest.
** This is just to ensure that spurious user accounts are kept away from the contest.

Prize

** In each theme, 1 winner of the contest will be chosen, purely on basis of submission of the photo portraying the theme.
** The participant/ winner will stand a chance to win an α lens or DSC-RX100M2 or HDR-AS50R or FDR-X3000 every month.
** Sony India reserves the right to modify, add or delete the prize, product itself or value thereof anytime during the contest without prior notice.
** The winner shall invariably be required to produce valid identity proofs in order to claim the prize.
** The winner shall be required to provide self-attested proof of identity, proof of residence and all other necessary documents for verification as required by Sony India.
** In case of validation failure due to any reason afore-cited, the prize shall stand revoked.
** Winner must submit all documents for reviews in the manner communicated by Sony India.

** In case the shortlisted participants fail to contact the specified person on or before the designated date mentioned in the winner confirmation email, the winner shall be deemed to have surrendered the prize.

** Sony India may, without advance notice cancel, suspend or postpone or change duration of the contest at any time.

** The ‘Terms and Conditions’ contained herein and as amended/ modified from time to time as mentioned at the Sony α Community website alphacommunity.sony.co.in shall apply to this Contest.

** It is the Users/ Winners/ Participants responsibility to check regularly, in order to ascertain if any changes have been made to these Terms and Conditions.
** In case of change in date of event or cancellation thereof for any reason beyond control of Sony India, Sony India shall not be responsible in any manner whatsoever.
** Disputes relating to this Contest shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Delhi only.
** Contest is not applicable in the State of Tamil Nadu.
