ISNEE GKDC Go Kart Design Challenge

Go Kart Design Challenge is a contest formulated to enhance the approach of students practicing Engineering and Diploma courses. This event is fundamentally all about designing and fabricating a Go Kart at very low expenditure.

We expect the teams to manufacture Go Karts yielding optimum performance. The teams participating in this contest have to go through two rounds, Pre-Final Round (PFR) and Final Round (FR).

It will be mandatory for all the teams to clear the PFR in order to advance to the FR. Teams are required to manufacture their Go Karts without any direct/indirect involvement of any kind of Professional help. The design challenge comprises of two rounds namely:

ISNEE introduces 150cc category in Go Kart Design Challenge in its 6th edition. The category offers 100 slots for which the early bird registrations are starting from Jan 5th, 2018.

Registration fee of this category is Rs 12500/- (Excluding GST) and paying Rs 2500/- against the team registration can reserve the slot. Balance amount can be paid on March 10th, 2018 when the registration for 6th GKDC Starts.

Rounds

Pre Final Round (PFR)

In order to get through the PFR, participating teams have to put on show a presentation which explains all the research and development work carried out by the teams in designing the vehicle.

They would have to present a PPT through which they are supposed to explain all the work that goes into the designing process in front of the judges. The decision taken by the judges would decide the team’s continuance in the contest.

Final Round (FR)

All the qualified teams from the PFR are eligible to take part in the FR. All the participating teams are required to manufacture their respective Go Karts in their college campuses. Come event day, all the teams have to reach the specified venue.

The vehicles manufactured by the teams would go through a number of tests namely, Technical Inspection, Brake test, Acceleration test, Skid Pad and so on. Based on the points achieved by each team in the following tests, the winner would be decided.

Registration Requirements:
** Team Requirement- The team registering for Go Kart Design Challenge must have a Team Name, Team Logo, Team Captain and the Faculty Facilitator.
** There is no limitation on the number of registrations from same campus but maximum two teams can be selected for the final round in PFR.
** There cannot be more than 25 members in a team under any circumstances.
** Team Name and Team Logo- Every team must have a unique team name and an impressive team logo.
** Discipline- All the team members must be from engineering diploma/degree.
** Driver’s Age- Every driver must be of 18 years or above
** Driver’s Licence- Both the drivers of the team must possess a valid driving licence (Four Wheeler) and the licence may be verified at any time during the dynamic event.
** Medical Insurance with Full Accidental Cover- Each team must have two drivers and both the drivers must possess a valid medical insurance with full accidental cover, which must be presented on the event site when asked by the officials.
** Faculty Advisor- Every team should have a faculty advisor from respective college/university.
