This awaited event is aimed at testing the participant’s knowledge in basics of electronics, and their ability to apply their theoretical knowledge to design practical circuits.

Event Format

Phase 1

Off Campus Round :
Online Test :
1.Questions will be of the objective type (multiple choice)
2.This round is eliminative
3.This round will be held from 21st Feb 2018(7pm) to 23rd Feb 2018(11:59 pm)

Offline Simulation Round :
** Teams that have been selected will be intimated through emails
** The question will be sent through email and the participants will have to send their simulation files along with output screenshots.
** Participants can use IC (Integrated Circuits) based simulation softwares to complete the simulation.
** Last Date for submission of simulation files: 2pm of 27th Feb 2018
** Shortlisted candidates for the final round will be announced only after the completion of this round, i.e., on 27th Feb 2018, 11:59pm

Phase 2

Final Round (On Campus ) :
** Only those participants who have been shortlisted from the final round of Phase 1, are eligible for this round.
** This round involves the practical implementation of circuits for the problem statements. These statements will be given on the spot.
** Components will be provided on the spot.
** Questions will cover the concepts from online tests and simulation round.
** This Round will take place during Pragyan’18. Please refer to the schedule once it is up for more details.

Format :
** Duration 3 hrs.
** Teams will be given some amount of virtual money.
** Components required for every problem statement will be on sale.
** Depending on their problem statement, teams should decide the required components and buy them with the virtual money that has been provided to them.

Problem Statement

Problem Statements of the Offline Simulation Round will be informed via e-mails to the selected teams

Judging Criteria

Final round :
** Working of the circuit.
** Practical implementation.
** Time taken.
** Minimal money usage
** The decision of the judges will be final.

Rules

** Team should comprise of not more than 3 participants.
** Prior registration is required in order to participate in the online round.
** The decision of the judges is final and binding.

Q1. How many participants per team?
Ans : Maximum of three.
Q2. Do all participants have to be from the same college?
Ans : No. The members of the team can be from different colleges.
Q3. Are there any prerequisites for participating in this event?
Ans : Just a basic knowledge on electronics will suffice for participating in the event.
