GNLU 3rd LexTech Essay Writing Competition

With an aim to promote Science, Technology & Law a combination of techno-legal thoughts. GNLU has established LexTech Science and Law Club. After the successful organization of workshops, seminars and training courses in the past, we are proud to announce the 3rd LexTech Essay Writing Competition, 2018.

The contributors stand a chance to win cash prizes, and get their essays published in a journal with an ISBN number.

Registration

** The participants must register themselves by filling the online form.
** Registrations can be done simultaneously with the submission, but the topics shall be registered before the prescribed date.
** Topic once registered shall not be changed.

Registration Fee :
Indian Nationals: Inr 200;
Other Saarc Nationals: Inr 500

Eligibility

The competition is open to all the students across India, researchers as well as practitioner. Submissions can only be made online, in English. All submissions are to be electronically mailed ONLY to lextech AT gnlu.ac.in

Themes

The article should be based on any ONE of the themes mentioned below:
i. E-Governance
ii. Cyber intelligence
iii. E-Gaming
iv. Online trading
Note: Only one essay per participant may be submitted. Multiple or incomplete submissions will lead to disqualification. Co-authorship is not permitted.

Important Dates

Register expression of interest: 01st March, 2018
Payment of registration fees: 01st March, 2018
Submission of Complete essay: 31st March, 2018

Prizes

1st position: Cash prize worth 7000/- INR and a discount coupon worth 1000/- INR to participate in any of events organized by GNLU and a certificate of appreciation.
2nd position: Cash prize worth 5000/- INR and a discount coupon worth 800/- INR to participate in any of events organized by GNLU and a certificate of appreciation.
3rd position: Cash prize worth 3000/- INR and a discount coupon worth 600/- INR to participate in any of events organized by GNLU and a certificate of appreciation.
All the participants will be eligible to receive a Certificate of Participation.

Terms And Conditions

1. Last date of submission has been extended to the 10th of April 2018. Any entry after the prescribed date shall not be entertained.
2. Each participant may submit entries in more than one theme, but only one submission per theme is allowed. In case of multiple entries by a single individual/duo, registration fees shall be charged per person per entry.
3. Joint Authorship not exceeding two persons is allowed.
4. Entries without the Registration Fees shall be automatically disqualified.
5. All submissions must be original. No previously published material or material under consideration in any other publication would be accepted. Any form of plagiarism will result in automatic disqualification. Please note that all essays will be screened with specialized software to verify plagiarism.
6. LexTech reserves the right to publish and/or to make available to the public the winning submissions.
7. LexTech reserves the right to modify the format and content of the submissions for publication purposes.
8. The decision of the Jury shall be final and will not be subject to an appeal.
