SAAP Photography Contest

Please read the guidelines before submitting your photo to “SAAP Photography Contest”. These are general rules governing photography contest hosted by the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP).

By participating in the contest, you understand, acknowledge and unconditionally agree to abide by the following rules:

General Guidelines

1.This contest is a single round Online Event.
2.Theme for the event: “Sports in Action”
3.Participant should mail the photograph to saapvijayawada AT gmail.com

4.Participant should like and follow the official handles of Sports Authority of AndhraPradesh. (Both on Facebook and Instagram)

5.The official Facebook and Instagram handles of SAAP will be used as competition platform.
6.Entries should be mailed with a caption, image file, and participant’s details (in prescribed format, Annexure I) on or before 23:59:59 26th Feb, 2018, post Last Date the submission will not be accepted in any case
7.Photographs received from all the participants will be updated between 10:00 a.m. to11:00 a.m. on daily basis, both on Facebook and Instagram. Once uploaded, the participant will be acknowledged through an e-mail.
8.The counter of total likes will be considered till 23:59:59 of 26th February, 2018.
9.The final result will be announced on 27th February 2018.
10.The photograph should be accompanied by a suitable Caption and a Title that describes the image of at least 10 words. (Or of not more than 25 words).
11.A participant is allowed a maximum of 1 entry
12.The contest is open to all Indian Citizens who has attended the age of 13 years, on or before 18th February, 2018.

13.Participant must be a registered Instagram and FB user and enter in his/her own name.The participant’s profile must be public. If the participant has not already registered for his/her free Instagram account, he/she can download the Instagram and FB App and follow the instructions to sign up.

14.Images that have won prizes in prior competitions, or have been used for commercial purposes and/or been published will not be eligible.
15.The images will be published with hashtag #SportsAuthorityAP #SAAP#PhotographyCompetition.

Basic Submissions Guidelines For Photographs

1. The contest is open for online submissions only through the e-mail.

2. Entries should be mailed to saapvijayawada AT gmail.com with a caption, image file, and participant’s details (in prescribed format, Annexure I) on or before 26th Feb, 2018 23:59:59, post Last Date the submission will not be accepted in any case.
a. SUBJECT line should clearly mention – “Sports in Action_participant name_DOB(ddmmyy) ” e.g. Sports in Action_Ajay Kumar_010188
b. FILE NAME: your name_DOB(ddmmyy) e.g.: Ajay Kumar_010188

3. Photos submitted must be at least 640 pixels on the shorter side, and no more than 2000 pixels on the longer side. Images should be no larger than 10MB. Photos must be in JPEG format.
4. All submitted photos must contain the original EXIF metadata information. However there must be no border(s), logo(s), copyright marks, identifying marks, or any other visible references and/or marks on the image.

5. Basic editing, including color enhancement, the use of filters, and cropping of the Photo(s) is acceptable, provided any such editing does not affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the Photo(s).

Dodging (to brighten shadows) or burning (to darken highlights) is allowed, but the alterations should enable the photograph to closely resemble what you see. Please avoid any extensive manipulation. Stitched panoramas are allowed.

6. Advanced editing used to create illusions, deceptions and/or manipulations, and the adding and removing of significant elements within the frame is prohibited.
7. Please limit your adjustment to minor changes of cropping, sharpening and contrast. Avoid significant over or under color saturation
8. The participant should always be ready with the original image when asked upon by the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh.
9. Every image uploaded is subject to a moderation process before it becomes visible on the contest page. The Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh reserves the right to assess and disregard any submitted photo at its own discretion.

10. Photos that portray or otherwise include inappropriate and/or offensive content, including provocative nudity, violence, human rights and/or environmental violation, and/or any other contents deemed to be contrary to the law, religious, cultural & moral traditions and practices of India, are strictly prohibited and will be immediately discarded.

11. A participant who submits any such photos may be permanently banned, subject to Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh discretion, from participating in any future contests.
12. The photo should not have been previously entered in any competition/exhibition. Plagiarism should be strictly avoided and such photographs shall be immediately disqualified from the competition.

Prizes

Prize Amount:
Winner : Rs.5000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only)
Runner up: Rs.3000/- (Rupees Three Thousand only)
1. The Prize amount will be electronically transferred to the bank details provided by the participant.
2. A certificate will be posted to the winners on the address provided by the participant.
3. Any state/ provincial/ territorial, and/or local taxes, fees and surcharges and taxes (whether foreign or domestic, and including income tax) on the prize amount shall be borne by the participant
