Kerala has a rich food heritage that goes back centuries. These recipes were not created by fancy chefs or five star restaurants but by ordinary people with extraordinary skill in cooking and a love for food. Such recipes have been passed down through the generations and become all-time classics.

Do you have a treasured recipe? Here’s your chance to be a part of our food heritage! Participate in our ‘Treasures of Kerala’ contest and get the chance to see your recipe live on our website. Winners will be featured in our exclusive coffee table cookbook ‘The Treasures of Kerala’ along with other goodies.

Eligibility:
Promotion (the ‘Treasures of Kerala Contest’ or ‘Promotion’ or ‘Contest’) is void where prohibited by law.

Agreement to Rules:
By participating, you agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements set forth herein. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of Kitchen Treasures, as final and binding as it relates to the content.

Treasures of Kerala Contest Period:
Entries will be accepted starting on Monday, November 10, 2015, and ending on Monday, November 30, 2015.

How to Enter:
Enter the Treasures of Kerala Contest by submitting your recipe with photo via the specified form on this page. The entry must be in the correct format to be eligible. We reserve the right to modify, reproduce and distribute the material in any medium and in any manner or appropriate place. We reserve the right to alter recipes as needed. Entering the Treasures of Kerala Contest constitutes permission for Kitchen Treasures to use all participants’ names, photos, and stories for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation. Entries that are not complete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Kitchen Treasures.

All recipes must be the original work of entrant and not previously published. You may use other recipes for inspiration, but you must make your own unique ingredient and/or cooking method changes in order for the recipe to be considered. Recipe must not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity.

Prizes:
Every participant that meets the contest’s rules will receive a copy of the ‘Treasures of Kerala’ coffee table book, as well as a credit (name credit only and optional headshot photo) for their recipe within the book, on the website and on the social media pages of Kitchen Treasures. Any and all prize related expenses shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by winners is permitted.

Ownership of content supplied by contestants:
Kitchen Treasures will be the sole owner of all rights including full copy and intellectual rights of submitted photos, recipes, and testimonials.

The receipt of the prize offered in this Treasures of Kerala Contest is conditioned upon compliance with any and all national and state laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY ANY WINNER (AT COMPANY’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN SUCH WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE TREASURES OF KERALA CONTEST AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

Rights granted by you:
By entering this contest you understand that Kitchen Treasures, and its respective licensees, successors and assigns will have the right, without any further notice, review or consent to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter in perpetuity and throughout the World, your entry, including, without limitation, the entry and name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image or statements about the Treasures of Kerala Contest, and biographical information as news, publicity or information and for trade, advertising, public relations and promotional purposes without any further compensation.

Terms:
Kitchen Treasures reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Treasures of Kerala Contest should (in its sole discretion) a virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Treasures of Kerala Contest. In such case, Kitchen Treasures may select the recipients from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Kitchen Treasures, and reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Treasures of Kerala Contest or website or violates these Terms & Conditions.

Kitchen Treasures has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Treasures of Kerala Contest, to void votes for any reason, including, but not limited to; multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; or the use of bots, macros or scripts or other technical means for entering.

Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Treasures of Kerala Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Kitchen Treasures reserves the right to take action to the fullest extent permitted by the law.

Disputes:

As a condition of participating in this Treasures of Kerala Contest, participant agrees that any dispute, under no circumstances will participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, and participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
