UTDB Chardham Hike Narrative Contest
To give a new dimension to the world’s ancient hiking trail, comprising Shri Yamunotri, Shri Gangotri, Shri Kedarnath and Shri Badrinath shrine, located in the state, Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) is organizing ‘Chardham Hike Narrative’ competition.

Contest Duration
The contest begins at 10:00 am on 8th May 2018 and ends at 5:00 pm 6th July 2018.
Eligibility
The competition is open to residents of India aged 18 years and above. The employees of UTDB or their close relatives and anyone otherwise related with the organisation or the judging committee is not permitted to enter the contest.
How To Participate?
** The contest is open for online submissions only, through the contest page available on www.uttarakhandtourism.gov.in/contests. Submissions will not be accepted once the Last Date lapses.
** The entire registration process would be online and the intending participants are required to submit their full details by filling the form which is available on the website of UTDB – www.uttarakhandtourism.gov.in/contests
** The Contestants would have to submit all the details about their on-foot ways of Char Dham along with the evidence depicting the significance, religious or spiritual (or any other), of the places they encounter enroute.
** Preference would be given to the contestants who will provide photographs and videos of the region along with the mapping.
** Contest will begin on 08.05.2018 at 10 AM and will conclude on 06.07.2018 at 5 PM
** A detailed presentation to be submitted along with attachments which can be in .jpg, jpeg, .png, .ppt, .pptx, .docx, .pdf format and must not exceed One gigabyte (1 GB) of file size with the links of the videos.
Prize
** 1st Prize: Rs 1,00,000.00
** 2nd Prize: Rs. 51,000.00
** 3rd Prize: Rs 21,000.00
** 4th Prize: Rs 10,000 for blind participants
** 5th Prize: Rs 10,000 for physically challenged participants
Judging & Prize Distribution
** UTDB will appoint a judge / judges for each contest. This will comprise of members of the editorial team and / or external judges.
** The judging panel shall assess and determine the winning details. The results and the winners will be announced on the website along with Social Media Channels.
** The decision of UTDB’s judging panel will be final and binding on all Participants in respect to all matters relating to the Contest.
** UTDB reserves the right to call for original JPEG or RAW files with unchanged EXIF for the purpose of authentication. The details maybe disregarded if this information cannot be provided
** The names of the winner(s) shall be announced and available on the UTDB website and they shall be informed over an email as well.
** UTDB will call upon the winning participant in a ceremony to be organized (by UTDB) and they shall be felicitated.
More preference will be given to the entries which:
** Cover all the Char Dhams or the maximum length of the yatra.
** Include Relevant and authentic information.
** Quality of the images and Maps.
** Have a Marketability/a Commercial Appeal.
** Newsworthy
** Level of Detail
** Shows appropriate Technical Execution
** Holds comparatively unique information
** Depicts unpredictability of Images: Images taken from different angles, other than the regular ones.
Terms & Conditions
** There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
** By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

** Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
** Closing date for entries will be 6th July 2018. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted. No responsibility will be taken for entries not received for whatever reason.
