Terms And Conditions

The name of contest is Airtel Megawin- Monsoon Bonanza Contest The “Contest” is open only to Indian citizens (individuals), residing in India aged 18 years or above and who are valid Airtel subscribers.

To participate in/register for the Contest, the Participants have to:
** Register/Subscribe for the Contest. Registration/Subscription is free and there are no charges for the same. Participation in the contest is free however for using services (SMS, WAP and voice calling) the Subscriber/Registered user shall be charged Rs. 2/- per SMS or voice calling while answering the question.Through WAP channel they shall be charged Rs 20/-per 10 question, Rs 10/-per 5 question, Rs 6 /-per 3 questions and Rs 2/-per questions through, however they can play there credited questions through any mode.. Registered participant will be able to play a maximum of 900 questions during total contest period.
** Registration/Subscription can be done by calling 53111 or by dialing USSD string *507# by sending SMS WIN to 53111 or via WAP link bit.ly/megawincontest. Modes of registration/subscription can be added or suspended (due to unavoidable issues on which Organizer does not have any control) during the duration of contest.

The Contest is organized by Airtel for their subscribers, and managed by – One97 Communications Limited having registered office at First Floor, Devika Tower, Nehru Place, New Delhi-110019 and its corporate office at B-121, Sector-5, Noida, India (hereinafter referred to as “One97”). One97 and Airtel shall be jointly referred to as ‘Organizers’

Procedure and Eligibility to participate

This Contest is valid for all active Prepaid and Postpaid Airtel Subscribers who fulfill the following criteria:
** Subscriber must be an individual and his/her age should be 18 years or more.
** Subscriber must be a citizen of India.
** He/she must not have any criminal record (i.e. neither convicted nor prosecuted for commission of any criminal offence) or be of an unsound mind.
** He/she must have a firm contractual capacity and is not under any legal disability e.g. insolvency, restraint by court orders etc. and / or is prohibited from entering any contractual relationship.
** If the highest scorer is not able to provide sufficient evidence as per the documents listed in Schedule B / Annexure B to show that he/she is the Subscriber of the mobile number, the Organizers’ reserve the right to forfeit the prize, at their sole discretion.

The Contest is neither open to employees, distributors, franchisees, agents and suppliers of, Airtel and One97, nor to the relatives /dependents of such employees, distributors, franchisees, agents, vendors and suppliers, of One97.

The Contest shall run for the period of 90 days(13 weeks) commencing from 1st June, 2015 at 00:00:01hours in the morning and concluding on 29th Aug, 2015 at 23:59:59 hours in the night (both days inclusive) (hereinafter referred as the “Contest Period”, mentioned in Annexure).

The Contest is valid only in India.

The participation in the Contest is purely voluntary.

The Contest is in the form of questions based on general knowledge, which must be answered by the Participant by using his knowledge and skill. The Participant will score 10 points for every correctly answered question.

There will be Super Bumper, Bumper, Daily prizes & Surprise day prize.

To participate on Voice, the Airtel Subscribers have to call 53111, which will be Toll free. To participate through SMS, Subscribers need to send SMS WIN to 53111 which will be Toll free. To participate through WAP subscriber can register by clicking bit.ly/megawincontest and play. This Contest will be available only in the above mentioned 18 circles of Airtel.

Contest on Voice

** The Contest will be available on 53111 which will be Toll free for all the Airtel Subscribers of the above mentioned circles of Airtel.
** The participants can press 1 or 2 on the phone keypad to answer the questions of the Contest.
** For every right answer the participant will get 10 points. There is no negative point for a wrong answer.

Contest on SMS

** The Contest will be available on the Toll free Short code 53111.
** To participate in the Contest, Airtel Subscribers can send the keyword WIN to toll free Short Code 53111.
** Participants can participate in the Contest by sending a response to the question that they have received last. There will be 2 response options in each question out of which 1 option is correct. Participant needs to choose the option.
** For every right answer the participant will get 10 point. There is no negative point for a wrong answer.

Contest on WAP

** The Contest will be available on bit.ly/megawincontest
** To participate in the Contest, Airtel Subscribers can visit the link provided above to register to the contest
** Participants can participate in the Contest by sending a response to the question that they have received last. There will be 2 response options in each question out of which 1 option is correct. Participant needs to choose the option.
** For every right answer the participant will get 10 point. There is no negative point for a wrong answer.

Happy Hours

There will be happy hours decided by the Organizers. Subscribers participating in Contest during happy hours will get 20 points for every right answer. Information regarding happy hours will be sent to all registered users/Subscribers via SMS in advance. Participants can also get happy hour information on IVR & WAP in Help menu.

If a participant participates in the Contest over any of the channels (Voice or SMS or WAP), his/her score will only be cumulative and not exclusive for each of the channels. i.e.: if the participant has started participating in the Contest on Voice and has scored 20 points in 2 questions, if he/she drops the call and resumes participation through SMS, he/she will be given the 3rd question, and if he/she answers the question correctly, his/her score will be 30 and this will be the score that will be considered for the highest score’s selection of all the prizes.

The prizes are mentioned in the Annexure A.

Airtel and One97 at their sole discretion can provide any other prize in kind as an alternative to the prizes referred in Annexure A .

The Participants understand that the prize/s under the Contest are sponsored and provided by One97 and One97 shall not be held responsible or liable for non-delivery or deficiency in the prize/s ,customer further understands that the goods provided as prize will carry manufacturer’s guarantee, in case of any deficiency in the goods ,participant will contact to manufacturer and One97 shall not be responsible in case of manufacturer’s deficiency in resolving the problem, all the legal remedies in relation to the prizes shall solely lie against One97.Subject to clause 19 all the legal remedies in relation to the prizes shall solely lie against One97.

The prize/s of the Contest will be given only to the winner/s in whose name the mobile phone number is registered. The winner needs to be the Airtel active subscriber at the time of receipt of prize/s and winner should have cleared all the outstanding dues towards Airtel. To redeem the prize, the winner should declare his name & address and provide proof of identity and other supporting documents as may be required by /Govt. of India or asked by One97.

Neither Airtel nor One97 will be responsible for any loss, damage, claimed/demanded by the Participants due to any of the following reasons:-
a. Participant is unable to send the SMS for whatever reasons to the Contest short code
b. Participant sends an SMS inadvertently or otherwise to a wrong SMS code;
c. Participant sends the SMS but with wrong text;
d. articipant is unable to understand the terms and conditions of the Contest;
e. Participant is unable to understand the process of participation or is unable to participate in the Contest;
f. Participant is declared as a winner but is aged less than 18 years of age or is incompetent to enter into a contract;
g. Any other reason, event, error or incidence not within the control of Airtel / One97.
h. To receive prize, winner should produce proper set of documents as defined elsewhere in this T&C and in absence of that the winner agrees to forego his/her prize.
