Kumbh Photography Contest

Kumbh 2019 is here, and we are looking for photos that showcase the best of what it represents. From early morning scenes to the myriad scenes of daily life, there’s a delightful plethora to photograph.

Eligibility

** Entries are accepted from local, National and International photographers and people visiting Kumbh.
** Multiple entries by a person and Group entries are not allowed
** You must be at least 18 years of age to register an account on photocontestinsider.com

How To Enter?

Step-1 : Go to the link kumbh.gov.in/en/photography-contest
Step-2 : Upload your images. Note: jpg, jpeg files allowed, file size min 5 MB and max 8 MB file size allowed
Step-3 : Click on the submit button.

Contest Rules

** Only photographs taken during Kumbh Mela 2019 (Prayagraj) will be accepted
** User can submit maximum 5 entries per categories mentioned above
** Photographs should be submitted in jpg or jpeg file format.
** Both colour and monochrome images will be accepted.
** Total data size of the image(s) should be within 5MB to 8 MB.
** Picture size of large side should be at least 1600 pixels
** No surrealism, no cloning, no composite images
** All entries should be accompanied with a brief line (max 500 characters) mentioning the subject name and place where the photo was taken.
** Source image must be made available on request by Prayagraj Mela Authority.

Prizes

The best 3 entries in each of 4 categories will be given a cash prize and a grand prize of 5,00,000 INR for the overall best entry across all categories adjudged by the panel.

Grand Prize: 5,00,000 INR
1st Prize: 1,00,000 INR
2nd Prize: 75,000 INR
3rd Prize: 50,000 INR

Winning and other consolation entries will be featured on the website with name mention. Winning entries received will be put as an exhibition for a week in Kumbh for visitors and media to see.

Contest Terms

** Ensure your use of the Website Service is in accordance with these Terms and any Applicable Laws.
** You agree to fully indemnify Prayagraj Mela Authority in respect of all costs owing to any person or entity arising by reason of your breaching any of the foregoing.
** Anyone found to use multiple accounts to enter the contest will be ineligible
** Entries can be captured using any digital device, including smartphones
** You must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of the photographs submitted and the photographs should not have been previously published in any print or digital media
** By submitting photos to Prayagraj Mela Authority Photo Contests you confirm that for each photo submitted
** You are the only author of your work and that it is your original work
** You are the sole copyright holder
** You have not licensed any rights in the work that will conflict with the usage rights required by Prayagraj Mela Authority
** You have the permission of any persons in the work, or if they are under 18, the consent of their parent or guardian to grant the usage rights required by Prayagraj Mela Authority
** You have permission from the owners of property shown in the work to grant the usage rights required by Prayagraj Mela Authority
** That it does not include trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property rights of any other third person or entity
** That it does not contain names, likenesses, or other characteristics identifying celebrities or other public figures, living or dead
** Prayagraj Mela Authority does not accept any liability for the publication of unlawfully reproduced images
** Computer-generated or computer-altered/morphed images (other than basic system work) will be disqualified. Artwork and illustrations will not be accepted
** Prayagraj Mela Authority takes no responsibility for corrupted or late entries
** By entering your photographs, you grant Prayagraj Mela Authority the non-exclusive right to reproduce it for any purpose at any time in any media with attribution
** The winners consent to the use of their images, name and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by Prayagraj Mela Authority, without further compensation
** Best photographs, according to Prayagraj Mela Authority, will be used on the official social media channels of Prayagraj Mela Authority and the subsequent newsletter if any with attribution
** The last date for submission of photographs is 10th Feb 2019 by 5pm and the winners will be declared within 5 days from this date either through email or by way of announcing their names on the Kumbh.gov.in
** There will be no notification to participants of rejected entries.
** Once a winner is declared, the winner will need to revert to confirmation email within 3 working days or second best will be chosen.
** Employees (and members of immediate family) of Prayagraj Mela Authority, its affiliated offices and their respective agencies are ineligible for this promotion.
** By submitting your photographs, you accept that you are the copyright owner of the work and that you agree to our terms and conditions.
