How To Participate?

You have 2 options to participate in the contest

** Free Entry- Special Submission No Entry Fees applicable to those participants who opt to Distribute their films through Pocket Films as per the applicable terms
** Regular Submission – Entry Fee of Rs. 2,000 (US$ 30)

Submission Rules

** This is a short film competition and hence ONLY Short Films should be submitted. NO DOCUMENTARIES.
** The film shall not be more than 15 minutes in duration, including the beginning and end credits.
** Films exceeding this time limit are liable to be rejected. We recommend keeping the credits at the end of the film.
** The film should have been completed after 1st July 2018
** The films may be in their original language but MUST be subtitled in ENGLISH. Films in English language too should have subtitles in English.
** We recommend subtitles be submitted in .srt format as far as possible and submit to us along with your film.

** Films submitted previously to this festival will not be considered for this contest.
** The films may be shot in any format. However, the recommended ratios are: 16:9 / 16:9 Full Height Anamorphic – in DV / HDV.
** The recommended video files formats are VOB, MPG, MPEG4 or AVI.

Prizes

** The winner of the Short Takes 9 contest will be invited to the Indian Film Festival Stuttgart (economy flight and hotel stay).
** The Top 3 films will get a Walk-In entry to compete for the prestigious “German Star of India Best Short Film Award” carrying a prize of € 1,000* (paid directly to the winner by the festival IFF, Stuttgart).
** The Top 3 films will be screened at the Indian Film Festival, Stuttgart in July 2019.
** The Top 5 Films will get a certificate.

General Terms

The Participant, hereby represents and warrants as under:
** The Participant hereby confirms that he/she/it is the owner / rights holder and/or their authorised representative and has the necessary rights and authority to submit the entry/film by accepting the terms and is solely responsible for the same.
** The Participant confirms that the content, in full or part, does not violate the copyright of any third party.
** The Participant indemnifies the Pocket Films against any claims regarding the said film submitted herein.
** The Participant confirms that he/she is 18 years of age as on 10th February 2019.
** All communications from the organizers as well as the benefits, if any, will be only with/to the Participant.
** Transfer, assignment or substitution of the prizes / benefits to a person other than the participant, will not be permitted.
** However, in exceptional cases the Pocket Films reserves the right to entertain such request at their discretion.
** The participant agrees and accepts that the Pocket Films shall not be held responsible for any unauthorised use of the film or related metadata by any third party.
