Star India hereby invites all the interested fans of the television show “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” to share their unique, original and interesting loglines and storylines for one fictional scene in the Program in a written format, incorporating the mandatory Program elements elaborated in Paragraph 2, hereinbelow to Star India by submitting the same to Star India, only on the designated page on the Website, as stated therein.

Contest Period

Participation in the Contest shall be open and valid only from December 19, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. till January 12, 2020 at 11:00 A.M.

Eligibility

Person (s) who do not comply with the following criteria should not upload/submit Content pertaining to the YRKKH Contest:

i. The Participant must be an Indian citizen who is residing in India;
ii. The Participant must have completed 18 (eighteen) years of age and be eligible to enter into a contract, at the start date of the Contest Period;
iii. The Participant must not have a criminal conviction or an arrangement or a contract that prevents the Participant from posting the Content and/or for Star India to develop on the Content;
iv. The Participant should must have ready a government issued proof of identity and age, if requested, to be submitted to Star India as may be required to confirm the eligibility of the Participant;
v. The Participant must abide by all the applicable laws at all times.
vi. The Participant must confirm whether or not the Content has been previously registered.

How To Participate?

Stage-1 :
(i) the Participant shall submit in his/ her own words submit the title of the Content;
(ii) thereinafter the Participant shall in his /her own words (not exceeding 500 words) draft a logline and a storyline (in either Hindi or English language), which is the written description of the Content.

The Content shall comply the following mandatory requirements:
(i) The storyline of the scene must be set in ‘Goenka House’
(ii) The storyline must include the characters of Kartik and Naira. It may also optionally include Kairav.
(iii) The scene must not be longer than 1 minute, in the event it were to be filmed.

After ensuring that the Content is in compliance with the requirements, and such other terms as set out in these Terms and Conditions, You may upload the Content on the relevant page on the Website as stated therein. As mentioned earlier, the Content must only be in written format in the manner as stated hereinabove.

Along with the Content You will have to provide the following details :
(i.) Participant’s Name
(ii.) Participant’s Email address and Phone number

The Details along with the Content will be hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Submission”.

Stage-2 : Registration
At this stage, you will be required to read and accept the T&C of the YRKKH Contest. Once You accept the T&C, You may submit the Content and the Details, we will register You by creating a Unique ID for Your Submission.

Once submitted, you will not have the right to delete/ remove the Content without prior permission from Star India. You will be free to make more than one Submission. It is further clarified that the same Content cannot form part of more than 1 (one) Submission.

Stage-3: Acknowledgement by Star India
Once You make the Submission in the mode and manner as prescribed herein, Star India will send You an e-mail acknowledging receipt of Your Submission and share with You the Unique ID created for such Submission. The Content submitted by You can be viewed only by Star India. It is clarified that for every Submission made by You, You will be provided with a different corresponding Unique ID.

Stage-4 : Internal Review
After receiving Your Submission, Star India will internally review the Content within a period of 45 (Forty Five) days from the end of the Contest Period, or such other time period that Star India may decide at its sole discretion.

The Content will be judged on the following parameters:
** Creativity – How well the overall elements of the storyline and scene work in tandem with each other;
** Chemistry – How well the passion between the two characters, i.e. Kartik and Naira has been portrayed in the scene and storyline;
** Originality – How unique the scene and storyline is;
** Visual Appeal – Whether the scene and storyline has a distinctive visual appeal and setting; and
** Authenticity – How well the storyline and scene capture the essence of ‘Kaira’, i.e. the characters of Kartik and Naira.

Star India reserves the sole right to set internal parameters for review and judgment of the Content submitted. Each category is allocated 20 points. The Content shall be judged by a panel of 5 judges, selected by Star India in its sole discretion and which shall constitute individuals directly involved in the production of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’.

The scores of all the judges for each Submission will be added and the Participant with the highest overall score shall be declared the winner, by Star India. In the event of a tie, Star India reserves the right to select the winning Submission, at its sole discretion.

Stage-5 : Result and Prize
(i) Within a period of 60 (Sixty) days of the end of the Contest Period, the sole winner of the YRKKH Contest shall be decided, who shall be the Participant whose Content has been adjudged with the highest number of points as set out under Paragraph 2.4 above (“Winner”).

(ii) The Winner shall be given an opportunity for the Winner’s Content to be developed into a scene which may be included as a part of one or more episodes of the Program or such other prize as Star India may in its sole discretion, decide (“Prize”), subject to Paragraph (iv) below.

(iii) Star India will communicate the decision to the Winner via e-mail and state that the programming team of Star India shall get in touch with Winner for further development of the Content and other related formalities relating to the Prize.

Winner of YRKKH Contest

a) The final selection of the Winner shall be made by Star India and shall be final and binding on all Participants/Winner and in no event shall the Participants/Winner dispute the decision made by the Star India or its employees in connection to the Submission and /or the YRKKH Contest.
