V-Guard Big Idea B-Plan Contest

The Big Idea contest is an annual B-Plan contest organized by V-Guard Industries Limited that aims to bring the corporate expertise and academic intelligence to a common arena, wherein the proposed strategy for V-Guard are discussed, studied, brainstormed and awarded.

It also creates opportunities for interaction with top leaders of V-Guard, wherein the young minds can discuss and understand the business challenges to fine-tune their thought process and cultivate a thought leadership among them.

Big Idea contest with its inception in 2011 is gearing up for its 10th season in 2020. The event has had participation from 1000+ students across Management & Engineering colleges since its inception in 2011 and continues to attract best talents to share their thoughts.

The contest invites students from B-schools across India to propose and draw up a business plan on what they think should be V-Guard’s next move for growth, differentiation and leadership. This contest also serves as a platform for V-Guard to connect with talents, who could be future employees.

Theme

A business plan that can build a sustainable business or extension for V-Guard that leverages our current core expertise, yet repositions us distinctly as a Brand and Business that is genuinely passionate about ushering in a healthier hygienic world for everyone.

For example: A robust business around a new product that measures the toxic fumes given out by various appliances in a typical home.

The submissions should cover all the aspects of a typical business plan. The aspects should include:
** Feasibility Study of the Business Idea through Consumer Research
** Customer Value Analysis
** Financial Feasibility and Projections
** Market Penetration and Market Development Plan

Eligibility

** Students pursuing 2 year PGDM/MBA course from any authorized Private/Govt./Deemed University/Institute situated in India.
** No restriction in terms of specialization/ academic year.

General Rules & Regulations

** Contest invites students from B-schools across India.
** The number of members in a team should not exceed 3.
** All participants in a single team must be from the same college irrespective of year of study.
** The participants must produce ID cards on request.
** Registration Fees: Rs 1000/- per team from a college.
** Any number of teams can participate from a single college.
** Participation will be confirmed subject to receipt of the participation fee. The fee paid is non-refundable.
** The decisions of the judges will be final and binding on the participating teams.
** Participating teams are requested to visit the website for any updates about the competition.
** Organizers have the right to make changes in the event if necessary.
