Harivallabh Sangeet Pratiyogita Music Competition 2015 :

Harivallabh Sangeet Pratiyogita (Music Competition) – Organized by Shree Baba Harvivallabh Sangeet and Research Academy. To encourage the young to appreciate and perfect themselves in the field of Hindustani Classical Music, and to bring out the best amongst the competitors, an open competition in Hindustani Classical Music was started by Shree Baba Harivallabh Sangeet Mahasabha (Regd.) in the year 1979. Since then it is organized every year.

General Rules for the Music Competition :

There are Four Categories for the competition namely:
** Vocal – Gaayan – Shastriya Sangeet
** Vocal – Gaayan – Thumri, Dadra, Tappa
** Instrumental (Non-Percussion – Swar Vadya)
** Instrumental (Percussion – Taal Vadya)

There are Two Age Groups namely:
** Juniors (Yuva Varg) (From 10+ to 16 years)
** Seniors (VarishthYuva Varg (From 16+ to 25 years)

There are Three Prizes in each category namely:
** First
** Second
** Third

In addition, the winners from the Senior Age Group (Varishth Yuva Varg) will be initiated as ‘Performing Artists’ during the Shree Baba Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan next year.

Annual Music Competition 2015 Note for the Participants :

The Music Competition 2015 will be held on December 22, 23, and 24, 2015. The Competition will start at 10.00 A.M. on all the days and will continue till late in the evening.

The Schedule of Music Competitions 2015 is as follows:
** December 22, 2015 – Junior Age Group – Categories – Vocal, Percussion, Non – Percussion.
** December 23, 2015 – Senior Age Group – Categories Vocal, Thumri / Dadra / Tappa, Percussion.
** December 24, 2015 – Senior Age Group – Categories – Percussion, Non – Percussion.

Accommodation Accommodation in Rooms, Halls & Dormitories is available for the competitors at Shri Devi Talab Mandir and Shri Kali Mata Mandir in Devi Talab Complex. on request (on first come first served basis). Nominal Room rent is charged by these institutions. (payable in advance).

Attention – Participants:
** Special Recognition will be given to Dhrupad Gayan
** All accompanying instruments – Harmonium, Sarangi, Violin, Swar Mandal etc. will be given same weightage and will be taken at par for the purpose of counting the merit.

Last Date for Submission of Application Form :

The last date of receipt of Application (along with Entry fee of Rs.150/- for Junior Category and Rs. 200/- for Senior Category, Proof of age & two recent passport size Photographs – one affixed on the application form and the other enclosed with it) sent by post/courier will be Two ( 2 ) days prior to the commencement date for the competition.

The Applications will also be accepted at the ‘Harivallabh Site office’ at Devi Talab Mandir, Jalandhar, One ( 1 ) day prior to the commencement date for the competition, from 10 A.M to 5 P.M.

Entries to the competition will close at 5.00 P.M. ONE day prior to the commencement date for the competition and final list of competitors drawn immediately thereafter.

Harivallabh Sangeet Pratiyogita Music Competition 2015 : Shree Baba Research Academy
