HOW DO YOU ENTER THIS CONTEST ?
Respected sir,
I study in 9 class of Xavier school. Now according to the procedure of judging will there be 25 winners in the 9 class of Xavier school or 25 winners from 9 class of whole city?
I can’t understand how the prizes will be given.
Can we use more than one topic from internet?
Why are there so less word limits for 8th standard :(
Yes. The limit is very less, but that is what they have given us.
Will there be 25 winners in each class?
Good idea. But there will be 25 winners in each category, not class.
Are we allowed to combine all topics.
I do not think that you can combine topics.
How did you get the idea of combining topics?
Is there any problem if write more than 200 to 300 words for category 2?
Can we write more than 300 words?
They have mentioned a limit of 200-300 words for category 2.
If you exceed this limit by a small margin, it might not be a big problem.
The more you overstep this limit, the bigger risk you are taking, as they have not mentioned why the limit is set.
But personally, I suggest you stick to the limits.
What are the criteria for examining the essay?
On what basis students will be selected?
I want to practice, so please suggest me the link.
Can we write bilingual essay (using Hindi & English both)?
Please reply ASAP.
This is not explicitly stated, but generally speaking, bilingual essay is not a good practice. But you have to take your own decision.
I don’t understand the title of the essay “A true hero is a unifying force in a diverse society”
Means that a good personality can. Unify everybody in today’s society
Can we take some points from the net?
Can we take the help of our grown ups?
Can we frame our own points and views based on the topic?
Please answer these questions, as I have to submit my essay on Monday and today it is already Friday. I would be thankful if you help me.
The answers for all your questions is : YES.
You can refer internet, consult elders and even take help from your teachers.
But the essay has to be framed with your own wordings. Your essay will be checked for plagiarism to see if you copied verbatim from any source. So write your own original essay, with reference from internet for facts.
All the best.
I want more information about this topic “WELFARE OF MY SOCIETY DEPENDS ON MY WELL BEING.”
Send the topic please.
I NEED A GOOD & MORE INTERESTING IDEA FILLED ESSAY TO WIN THIS COMPETITION.
HAVE A GOOD IDEA FIRST.
THEN A GOOD WRITING SKILL.
THEN YOU NEED BLESSINGS OF GOD ALMIGHTY.
How can a student be benefited if he or she takes part this exam?
How can I come on top 5 or 25.
I am very nervous about this competition.
You have to write an original, fact filled article that is compulsive to read.
To whom the prizes will be given? I mean – is it to the school toppers, or to the national level toppers?
I need more information about these topics
“Welfare of my society depends on my well being”
and
“The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizens”
I don’t know about this topic. Can you please help me?
I was unaware about this participating in this competition.
Oho. So what?
If you know about this competition, then you will come first? This is joke of the day.
Can we copy from net?
Copying from net is plagiarism. Instead, get ideas from net. Combine it with your experience and write the essay. All the best.
Are 25 members totally selected in whole India or Bangalore?
What is the time limit given to write for category-1 essay competition?
Priya, I can’t catch it.
I want to participate but I have not IFSC code and also I am not in town. How I will participate?
Is the IFSC code of my father is applicable, as I am not having bank account.
According to this quote, the answer is no. Why don’t you get yourself a bank account?
My school had not given information about this. What shall I do? I want to participate in this competition.
You cannot apply individually. You can apply only through your school.
Please let us intimate which format will be available. I am not having bank account therefore whether my father’s IFSC code is applicable?
Great idea.
But I hope that the judges would check the internet and disqualify essays that are similar.
A girl did that this year for the constitution day essay writing competition and she won.
This should not be encouraged.
Who are all participating please don’t do this. You are stealing others hard work.
I like this competition. The topics are very interesting .
Hi Nancy Verma,
I am also very excited and happy because category-3 “THE CHANGES ROLE OF CITIZENSHIP FROM PRE-INDEPENDENCE INDIA TO THE PRESENT” is very interesting.
I think that you are giving awards to winners which is good but you should at least give a certificate to each participating students. I hope you will think about it.
I support this.
To whom that cash prizes will be given? To the school toppers or the students who will qualify at the national level !
I am not getting how to write this.
Hi Nikhil Roy,
You can write essay in Hindi or English and you can take help from internet, parents, neighbors and from your relatives also.
ALL ARE INTERESTING TOPICS. WE WILL BE GETTING MORE KNOWLEDGE IF WE PARTICIPATE
Can we take help from net ?
Welfare of my society depend on my well being – essay 200 words in English.
Topics are too complicated and difficult.
I AM FROM YOUR CLASS SHRUTI. I AM kabeer.
Is this competition is for the whole of India?
Yes.
Can I write in hindi or english?
Yes, you can.
Can I take help from my elders?
There is NO mention of NOT taking help from parents, relatives, neighbors, and internet in the prospectus.
So, I would assume – yes, you can get all help you can.
My school had chosen only two topics from each category.
Should a school choose only two topics in each category?
There is a limitation in number of topics in each category.
The limitation is five topics per category and not two.
This competition is good for students. They will learn a lot. Thanks.
Please clear the moral concept of topic i.e changing role of citizenship from pre independent India to present.
Can we send this directly without approval from school?
School stamp and signature is needed?
Can we choose any one from the four subjects given for the essay writing?
This is helpful for the students. Thank you.
How is the distribution of prizes?
It’s said 5 toppers will get awards and certificates and 25 students will get amount money.
I DID NOT UNDERSTAND.
Each school sends only 5 entries maximum in each category. Top 25 entries in each category will get certificate and cash.
Thanks for giving the opportunity.
What is the meaning of the topic – “Discovering hero within myself”?
Please tell me. Then only I have to prepare my topic also.
One more query. Can we take some help from internet?
I think taking help from internet is not a problem.
Pls don’t give complicated questions.
We should not think of the difficulties, but should try to handle the situation positively.
What I can interpret is that a student can learn the content at home with the help of internet /parents and write it in school on a prescribed date. So where is the originality of idea which you are going to check? It is plagiarism encouraging exercise!
Very nice view.
Is the competition for all the students of any CBSE board school?
It looks like a open competition to all CBSE schools, though the word CBSE is missing.
I like this competition. I will participate, but how?
There is a prize to all students or one student?
Prize :
Category I (Classes I-IV) -2,000 x 25
Category II (Classes V-VIII) -3,000 x 25
Category III (Classes IX-XII) -4,000 x 25
