Consensio 2016 :

A Three day fiesta “Consensio” is organized every year by Royal Group of Institutions to witness the confluence of thoughts and ideas among more than 4000 young minds from not only Guwahati but India’s top notch universities and colleges. Consensiocovers a myriad of fun and intellectually stimulating technical and management events to participate and compete in.Consensio, now in its 6th incarnation, aims to provide a creative platform for the students across the nation to showcase their skills in a competitive arena; among performances by a wide plethora of artistes and performers of national repute like K.K., Rodney, Siddharth Mohan, Kumar Vishwas and the regional sensation NorthEast Breeze.

Event Dates 4th-5th February 2016

Rangoli :

Pattern has to be made using different colors having a theme behind it.The theme has to decided by the students in advance no themes will be provided on the spot.

Rules:
** Maximum of 3-5 participants are allowed in a group.
** Four basic colors will be provided (including flour).
** Desired colors can be brought by the students if they want to add extra color.
** Use of cell phones is restricted.

Criteria for judging:
The rangoli shall be judged on the basis of the following points:
** Overall appearance of the rangoli with a justification of their design.
** How much it relates with the theme.
** Variety in design and colors used.

Tatoo Making :

The participants have to use their artistic skill and make the tattoo in the hands of the other participant using the tattoo making pen.The tattoo should be based on the subject of the given theme and at the end of the competition they have to give an explanation on how does it relate to the given theme.

Criteria For Judging:
The tattoo shall be judge on the basis of the following points:
** Overall appearance of the tattoo with a justification of their design.
** How much it relates with the theme.
** Variety in design used.

Rules:
** Tattoo should be restricted only to hand.
** Use of any electronic devices is restricted.
** Number of participants per team will be two.
** 2 markers will be provided.
** Time allotted- 1 hour.
** Pre-existing tattoo of any participant should not be involved in the competition.
** Decency of the tattoo should be maintained.
** Reporting should be done before 15 minutes of the event.
** The first twenty registered team will be allowed for the event.

Kai Po Che :

Kai po che, “i have cut the kite”. Let’s gather to dress the sky with our colours flying high on the success of this event in the last year,we have decided to host it again on the request of the students. Comprising groups of 2-4 people,the teams are requested to come with unique ideas for the kites.

Criteria for judging:
The kites shall be judged on the basis of the following points:
** Overall appearance of the kite with a justification of their design.
** Making technique and stability of the kite.
** Variety of material used.
** The kite should be able to fly.

Rules and regulations:
** Contestant must register before the contest.
** The kites entered in the completion must be made only in the allotted time in the allotted place.
** Time allotted is 2 hours.
** The team has to bring the required materials.3 normal kite papers,bamboos,thread and a fevicol will be provided per team.
** Participant can bring their own materials if required.
** Manufactured and commercial will not be eligible for the completion.
** Each team shall comprise of 2-4 persons.
** Kites must fly to qualify for judging. If not the, contestant will be disqualified.

Note:
There will be a kite fight after all the judging has been completed. Kite fighting is not a part of the completion and the teams will not gain points by doing so.

Calligraphy or Japanese Painting :

It is a kind of a fun and creative game at the same time. A word will be given in japanese language which has to be written by the participant in a bigger format using paint and brush in a chart paper.And it has to be completed in the given time ,which will be 1-2 min approx..,the given time will be measured in the form of music. A music will be played & stopped & the participant has to complete the writing as soon as the music stops. It is not theme oriented.

Criteria for judging:
It shall be judged on the basis of the following points:
** Overall appearance.
** How much time it took to complete the word.
** Neatness and accuracy of the word.

Rules and regulations :
** Contestant must register before the contest.
** Time allotted is 2-3 mins
** Use of cell phones is not permitted.
** Only the materials provided shoud be used. No outside materials will be allowed to use.
** Reporting should be done before 15 minutes of the event.

Materials required :- brush, colour/ink , chart paper
