Kerala Inter School Quiz Competition :

Goethe-Zentrum Trivandrum is organizing an All -Kerala Inter- School Quiz Competition for school children in January 2016.

Competition Date : January 16, 2016

The quiz competition will be held at Christ Nagar State and CBSE School Hall, Kowdiar, Trivandrum on Saturday, January 16, 2016 and it is aptly titled “25 Years of German Unity”. Every school is permitted to send two teams of two members each to participate in each of the two categories given below. Thus, each school can send eight children. Knowledge of German is NOT a requirement for this quiz.

Categories:
Children can participate in two categories:
Juniors: Class 5-6-7
Seniors: Class 8-9

Timings:

** Team-wise Registration of all participants: 9 to 9.30
** Preliminary Round: 9.30 – 10.15
** Refreshments: 10.15 – 10.30
** Audience quiz: 10.30 – 11.00
** Semi-Finals: 11.00 – 12.00
** Finals: 12.00 – 12.30
** Prize Distribution 12.30 – 1.00
** Lunch: 1.00 – 2.00

Apart from the focus on history and the grand events related to the Reunification, the quiz will be a broad-based one on various aspects of Germany like everyday life / Inventions / Science & Technology / Sports / Architecture and famous monuments / famous Personalities / German cities / special features of the landscape /German literature.

The team winning the first prize will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 8,000/-, second prize will carry Rs. 5,000/-and third prize Rs.3,000/-. There is also a consolation prize of Rs. 1000/- for the 4th position. All participants will receive a certificate and a gift. Please note that the special feature of this quiz are the many opportunities the audience also gets to win special prizes.

Please confirm the participation of your school by sending us the enclosed registration form duly filled at the latest by Wednesday, January 6, 2016, by post or a scanned copy to quiz@goethe-zentrum.org.This form can also be downloaded from our website: goethe-zentrum.org. Registrations are open now: there will be special prizes for the first registration received.
