4th All India Police Archery Championship 2015 :

Nagaland Police has been given the honour of organizing the 4th All India Police Archery Championship. The competition will be conducted in accordance with the Rules laid down by the All India Police Sports Control Board, New Delhi

The Championship will be held at Chumukedima from 12th to 16th Jan 2016.

Location:
The Championship will be held at Chumukedima under Dimapur District, Nagaland which is connected by air, road and rail. Chumukedima is 13 (thirteen) kms away from Dimapur but the two towns are already joined by habitation and are actually twin towns. Chumukedima is at the exact foot-hill; the hill section enroute to Kohima along the National Highway-29 begins from Chumukedima.

Climate:
Weather of Chumukedima will be pleasant during the day and cold at night/ morning during the season when the tournament is being conducted. Hence, warm clothing will be required. Temperature may range from 27° to 11° C.

Travel Guidelines:

(i) RAILHEAD: Dimapur is well connected by Indian Railways
(ii) AIR CONNECTION: There is an airport at Dimapur and there are flights operated by AIR INDIA and INDIGO AIRWAYS. Flights operate to Dimapur from Kolkata.
(iii) ROADWAYS: National Highway 29 &37 link up Dimapur to the rest of the country.

Reception & Reporting :
All the teams are requested to inform their travel plan well in advance for proper reception, transport and accommodation. There will be reception teams waiting to receive all teams at their point of entry/arrival provided travel plans in detail are intimated well ahead of time to the Organizing Team.

Participation:

All Central Armed Police Force, State Police and Union Territory are eligible to participate in the All India Police Archery Championship.

Eligibility As per the provisions of the rules of the All India Police Sports Control Board, this competition is open to all ranks for both men and women. All State/Police Forces &CPOs are eligible to participate. The State/UT Police forces and CPOs should ensure that only those archers are included in the team who are appointed on permanent basis of the organization. No casual or temporary appointees would be allowed to participate in the competition. A certificate/undertaking to that effect should be furnished and attached with the entry form duly signed by competent authority (IGP) in respect of newly appointed archers.

Entry Form & Nominal Roll:

Model entry forms are enclosed along with this Joining Instructions as Appendix A,B & C. Two copies of entry form along with nominal roll and two passport size photograph of each participants and officials, duly filled in, may please be sent to the Organizing Secretary, c/o Commandant NAPTC, Chumukedima, Nagaland, Pin No – 797103 so as to reach him on or before 10thDecember, 2015.

A copy of the same may also be sent to the Secretary, All India Police Control Board &Central Coordinating Committee, 25, Akbar Road, New Delhi -110011. Any changes in the entry form should be conveyed to the office of the Organizing Secretary at least 10 days before the commencement of the Championship failing which changes will not be entertained.

All participating teams are also requested to ensure that entry forms and nominal roll are filled up and should reach by the 10th December 2015. Entry fees of Rs. 50/- per participants including reserves, Managers, Coaches and Doctors should be deposited in cash on 18th January, 2016 during the Team Manager’s Meeting. If any player wants to play in two categories he/she will be charged for participation in both categories separately.
