What is ACEnovation World Storytelling Championship (WSTC)?

World Storytelling Championship 2023 is organized by ACEnovation. WSTC 2023 is open to all students/adults/storytellers around the world. All participants will be given the ‘Certificate of Participation’ which will be made downloadable once ready and a link will be sent to participants. Last Date for Registration & Uploading of Videos Tuesday, 31st October 2023.

Eligibility of World Storytelling Championship

** WSTC 2023 is open to all students/adults/storytellers around the world.
** WSTC 2023 is open for age groups 3 to 18 and an open category for ages 19 & above. Participants must register according to their age category else will be disqualified from the championship.

How to Participate in the World Storytelling Championship?

** Participant should register on the WSTC website: https://worldstorytellingchampionship.com/register
** There will be a nominal registration fee for the championship. The fee paid is non-refundable. However, 2023 Championship Registration Fee is WAIVED – Its FREE this Year. This is an individual championship. Team/Group videos will not be considered and will be disqualified.
** In order to upload the video, the registration form must be complete in all aspects.
** On registration, participants will be sent a detailed information brochure via mail / WhatsApp on the exact procedure for the preliminary rounds and thereafter, on selection for the other rounds of the championship.

Submission Rules :
1. All entries must either be submitted in English or, if in another language, include English translation.
2. All entries must be submitted in audio video format.
3. Entries may be submitted through our website starting from 10th October 2023 and submissions will close on 30th November 2023, 5.00 pm (IST)
4. The length of the video should not exceed 90 seconds.
5. All videos should be uploaded on the website on the given topic in MP4 format only. The file name of the video should be saved as: Name of the participant age Category Country name. E.g. (Annie_14yrs_13-15_India)

6. All entries should begin with a 5 second full-screen introduction video that includes the following information:
** Presenter / Storyteller’s Name
** School name
** School city, state/country
** Title of the Story
** Total Duration (including the 5 second introduction screen)

JUNIOR FINALS – Tuesday, 26th December 2023 – 5 pm (IST)
SENIOR FINALS – Wednesday, 27th December 2023 – 5 pm (IST)

Rules of World Storytelling Championship

i) Stories presented can be authentic, adapted or originally written. Video should be original, creative, and unique. Video should be well planned with smooth transition and edits. All information presented in the video must be cited, giving credit to the original source.

ii) No copyrighted materials (music, images, video clips, etc.) should be used for this contest unless you own the copyright or have a license to use the material for this contest. Written permission must be obtained and provided upon request for all copyrighted materials.

iii) Content of the video must not touch upon sensitive issues such as race, religion, stereotyping, politics nor invade the privacy of any person. It must not promote illegal behavior, advocate sexual or violent exploitation, or violate rights established by any law or agreement.

iv) Participants should keep at least one copy of their video. ACEnovation is not responsible for any videos that are lost, damaged, or that do not upload properly.
v) Winners will be notified via e-mail or WhatsApp after each round and the Grand Finale will be conducted live.
vi) The final competition will be held Online. Therefore, the participants should make sure that the supporting equipment and devices are available.

vii) ACEnovation and all its employees will not be held responsible against all claims and liability arising out of use of such prizes. Winner assumes all liability for any injury or damage caused from participation in the contest or use/redemption of any prize.

Prizes & Awards of World Storytelling Championship

All participants will be awarded participatory certificates. Championship winners will be awarded a Certificate of Merit.
