What is of VIT Mathematical Meet Contest?

VIT Mathematical Meet 2024 – A National Mathematical Contest for School Students is a mega annual event organized by the Department of Mathematics, School of Advanced Sciences, VIT, Vellore; in order to create and encourage the mathematical inventiveness in young minds at the school level. The Department of Mathematics, School of Advanced Sciences, Vellore Institute of Technology is delighted to proclaim the VITMM – 2024, the 28th Annual Celebrations of the VIT Mathematics Association, to be held in VIT, Vellore on 27th January, 2024 (Saturday) from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Instructions For Mathematical Events

** The registered teams/students should report at 07.30 AM on 27-01-2024 in VIT, Vellore.
** The Talent Examination Event will be conducted for Tamil and English medium students separately and prizes/certificates will be given accordingly. Other events are common for both Tamil and English medium students.
** Each team must consist of exactly 3 members for team events (Quiz, Model Exhibition and Poster Presentation).
** There is no limit for the number of participants/teams from each school.
** The participants should bring all aids/materials/equipment/charts required for Mathematical Model Exhibition.
** The poster presentation team participants can showcase their ideas by using printed posters or designed charts. Expected Poster Size: 3 Feet (Height) X 3 Feet (Width)

Registration Fee of VIT Mathematical Meet

Medium : Level I (VI-VIII STDs)
Tamil : Rs. 100/-
English : Rs. 150/-

Medium : Level II (IX-X STDs)
Tamil : Rs. 150/-
English : Rs. 200/-

Medium : Level III (XI-XII STDs)
Tamil : Rs. 200/-
English : Rs. 250/-

Note: The above mentioned registration fee is inclusive of GST (Tax) and it has to be paid as per the given instructions.

How to Register for VIT Mathematical Meet?

** The registration fee shall be paid by online portal (https://events.vit.ac.in/).
** The school teacher/staff in-charge can do bulk payments through the aforementioned online portal for all the participants of the concerned school.
** The paid registration fee will not be refunded at any circumstances.
** Please avoid spot registrations.
** One student can participate in ONLY ONE EVENT.
** Each school should nominate and mention the details & contact number(s) of the teacher advisor(s)/staff in-charge(s) in the registration form for authorized communication.
** The registration form can be downloaded from the event website.

** Please submit/send the duly filled and signed Registration Form along with the Online Payment Receipt on or before 05:00 PM of 17th January 2024 by courier/by post to the following mailing address
