What is Logo Design Competition for KBLPA?
KBLPA, Ministry of Jal Shakti in collaboration with MyGov is hosting a competition for the design of a logo for the Ken-Betwa Link Project Authority (KBLPA). You are invited to show your creative brilliance in designing a vibrant logo, that can be easily relatable to the concept of this important river interlinking project and reinforce the message of optimum utilization of water resources in the country. Ken-Betwa Link Project (KBLP) is the first project under the National Perspective Plan (NPP) taken for implementation as a joint project of the Center and States. Last Date of Contest is 12th January 2024.

Theme of Logo Design Competition
1. The logo aims to establish a powerful and recognizable visual identity. It should succinctly convey the aim of the esteemed Ken-Betwa Link Project.
2. The logo should preferably depict the essence of the Interlinking of the river, with special emphasis on KBLP, bio-diversity, irrigation, drinking, hydropower, floods and droughts, a collaboration of the Government of India and states, etc.
3. The logo should be versatile and scalable, ensuring it can be effectively used to amplify the organization’s message and impact.
4. The logo design competition is aimed at reaching the citizens of India through creative means and the involvement of the public at large to create awareness about KBLP.
5. The logo should be usable on the website, social media such as Twitter and Facebook, press releases, and on printable such as stationery, signage, labels, etc., magazines, commercials, holdings, standees, posters, brochures, leaflets, pamphlets, souvenirs, and other publicity and marketing material for the promotion of KBLPA.
6. The winner shall be required to provide the original open-source file of the designed logo.
7. The logo should look clean (not pixelated or bit-mapped) when viewed on-screen at 100%.
8. Entries should not be submitted in compressed or self-extracting formats.
9. The logo design should not be imprinted or watermarked.
10. All fonts should be converted to Outlines/Curves.
11. Texts used in the logo design should be in Hindi or English only.
12. Participants shall enclose a note explaining (in brief) the suitability of the designed Logo in connection with the aim of KBLP.
Format & Process Guidelines of Logo Design Competition
1. Participants need to register themselves on the www.mygov.in portal to participate in the contest.
2. Preferred file format: jpg, png.
3. Maximum dimensions: 1000 x 1000 pixels
4. It should be designed on a digital platform.
5. Versions required: a full-colour version and a black-and-white version.
6. Participants will have to provide open files or vector formats (AI, EPS, etc.) if requested;
7. Payment to the winner will be made through electronic mode, for which the necessary bank details will be taken after the declaration of the winner.
Evaluation Criteria of Logo Design Competition
1. The entries will be judged based on elements of creativity, originality, composition, technical excellence, simplicity, artistic merit, visual impact, and how well they communicate the theme of the Ken-Betwa Link Project.
2. Adaptability and Practicality: The logo will be used for the project on different mediums and sources (websites, emails, knowledge products, social media, stationery, banners, brochures, etc.)
3. Scalability: Readability and impact at variable sizes are important criteria.
4. Innovativeness: What are the creative elements of the design and how well has the artist been able to use creativity and originality in design?
5. Relevance to the theme: The design should deliver a message relevant to the authority’s objectives.
Gratification/Rewards of Logo Design Competition
1. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.10,000/-
2. Top 3 entries will be awarded a special mention.
