What is GEMA International Winter Painting Competition?

GEMA has always stood for promoting art and art practices in the Schools through various Art Contests. The International Winter Painting Competition has touched the lives of thousands of creative & innovative kids. The activity has been designed to nurture the child’s creativity & motivate them to think in an innovative manner. The contest is conducted with immense professionalism and has a fair and impartial judging process, bestowing the contest with unparalleled credibility. Students from Kindergarten to 12th standard are invited to participate in 5 clearly divided groups. Each group receives an exciting and relevant topic and everyone gets Gift Vouchers and Digital Certificates. Last Date of Contest is 24th December 2023.

Categories of International Winter Painting Competition

You can participate in following categories
Group A :
(Kindergarten – Below 1st Grade/Class)
Theme: Cozy Winter Homes
Have children paint cozy winter scenes featuring warm and inviting homes with smoke coming out of chimneys.
Paper size: A3/Quarter Imperial (297mm x 420mm to 279mm X 420mm)
Materials to be used – Oil Pastels/Wax Crayons/Plastic Crayons

Group B :
(Grade/Class 1st & 2nd)
Theme: Holiday Magic
You can include paintings of holiday decorations, ornaments, and festive scenes, like a Christmas tree or Hanukkah menorah
Paper size: A3/Quarter Imperial (297mm x 420mm to 279mm X 420mm)
Materials to be used – Oil Pastels/Wax Crayons/Plastic Crayons

Group C :
(Grade/Class 3rd, 4th & 5th)
Theme: Ice Castles
Create your own imaginative ice castles with turrets, bridges, and intricate details.
Paper size: A3/Quarter Imperial (297mm x 420mm to 279mm X 420mm)
Materials to be used – Oil Pastels/Water Colour/Colour Pencils/Poster Colours

Group D :
(Grade/Class 6th to 8th)
Theme: Winter Sports
You can paint winter sports scenes, such as ice skating, skiing, or snowboarding.
Paper size: A3/Quarter Imperial (297mm x 420mm to 279mm X 420mm)
Materials to be used – Oil Pastels/Water Colour/Colour Pencils/Poster Colours

Group E :
(Grade/Class 9th to 12th)
Theme: Winter Wonderland
Create your own magical winter wonderland with snowy landscapes, icicles, and animals.
Paper size: A3/Quarter Imperial (297mm x 420mm to 279mm X 420mm)
Materials to be used – Oil Pastels/Water Colour/Colour Pencils/Poster Colours

How to Participate in the International Winter Painting Competition?

The arts increase self-confidence, enhance creativity and communication skills, and improve the International Winter Painting Competition will be a great learning experience for the participants. Professional artists will judge the competition based on originality, creativity, technique, and presentation and determine the winners.

Step 1 : Complete your painting on relevant topic.
Step 2 : Click 2 clear photographs, one of your painting and another one of your child holding the painting in his/her hand.
Step 3 : Register here, Pay the Fee and Upload your photographs.

** School Level Winners for School with 50+ Entries.

Dos & Dont’s :
** We will accept only 1 entry per registrant.
** Do not submit works of digital art or craft.
** We appreciate originality and creativity. Copying and coloring pre-printed drawing is not acceptable.
** Quotes or slogans or if participants wish to write a few words to explain their creations, it can be written on the picture
