What is Kaleen Mark Logo Design Contest?

Indian Institute of Carpet Technology (IICT, Bhadohi), an institution under the aegis of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India in collaboration with the Central Wool Development Board (CWDB), Jodhpur and MyGov are hosting a competition for the design of a Logo aims to create a symbol of quality assurance for woolen handmade carpets and rugs manufactured in India. The objective of this contest is to encourage creativity and innovation among Indian citizens. Last Date of Contest is 30th January 2024.

Eligibility of Kaleen Mark Logo Design Contest

The competition is open to all students of any recognized institution in India with valid ID proof.
One participant can submit only one entry. Multiple entries from the participants shall lead to disqualification.

How to Enter for Kaleen Mark Logo Design Contest?

Contest Theme: Participants are invited to design a logo that symbolizes the quality assurance label for woolen handmade carpets and rugs made in India.

Logo Specifications:
a. The logo should be between 2.5 cm and 10 cm in size and should have two versions: one for products with 80% wool and above and another for products with 50% wool and above.
b. Image format should be in PDF or SVG.

Submission and Technical Requirements:
i. Participants must submit a logo with a brief description of their concept and inspiration.
ii. The logo must be unique and elegant.
iii. Entries must be original, handcrafted designs, not generated by artificial intelligence.

Gratification/Rewards of Kaleen Mark Logo Design Contest

1. The best logo entry will receive ₹25,000 and a certificate.
2. Consolation prizes include certificates for the first and second runners-up.

Terms and Conditions of Kaleen Mark Logo Design Contest

1. The Indian Institute of Carpet Technology (IICT) Bhadohi along with Central Wool Development Board (CWDB) Jodhpur hosts the competition in collaboration with MyGov.
2. The entry must be original should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, and must not infringe on the intellectual rights of any third party.
3. IICT Bhadohi, CWDB Jodhpur, and MyGov are not responsible for copyright violations or infringements of intellectual property carried out by the participants.
4. The entry must not contain any provocative, objectionable, or inappropriate content.
5. Participants should only upload the logo in SVG / PDF format and one should upload in both formats.

6. Entries must be original, handcrafted designs, not generated by artificial intelligence. Participants must declare their work as self-created and provide a brief process description. AI-generated submissions will be disqualified. Winning designs may undergo verification for originality before being considered for patenting and official use.

7. Once submitted for the competition, copyrights of the Logo will solely be with the IICT Bhadohi.

8. The participant should ensure his/her MyGov profile is accurate and updated since this will be used for further communication. This includes details such as name, photo, complete postal address, email ID, and phone number. Entries with incomplete profiles shall not be considered.

9. Mygov reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of this Contest and/ or Terms and Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria. However, any changes to the Terms and Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria, or the cancellation of the Contest, will be updated/ posted on the website of IICT Bhadohi.

10. The winning entries may be used by the IICT Bhadohi for export promotion, domestic sales, and display purposes.
11. All the entries received by MyGov would be assessed by a committee of judges for selecting the entries. The decision of the Committee shall be final and binding.
12. The entry should not have been previously published in any print or digital media.
13. The winners have to share their consent to the use of their names in any publicity carried out.
14. The winners will be declared via the website of IICT Bhadohi and through personal email. There will be no notification to participants not selected as winners.
15. The Selection Committee reserves the right to reject any entry that it does not feel is suitable or appropriate or does not conform to the conditions listed above.
16. All disputes/legal complaints are subject to the jurisdiction of Allahabad only. The parties themselves will bear expenses incurred for this purpose.
17. Entries must be made by the closing date and in the manner set out in the contest terms and conditions. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
18. IICT Bhadohi, CWDB Jodhpur, and MyGov accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, or injury of any kind suffered by any participants in entering the contest, including as a result of any participant winning or not winning any prize.
19. Plagiarism of any nature would not be allowed.
20. The winner shall be required to provide the original open-source file of the design.
21. Indian Institute of Carpet Technology (IICT) Bhadohi along with Central Wool Development Board (CWDB) Jodhpur will disburse the winning amount/ rewards to the selected winner(s)
