What is Math Kangaroo Contest?

Math Kangaroo Contest 2024 is organized by International Olympiad Academy. Math Kangaroo (also known as International Mathematical Kangaroo, or Kangourou sans frontières in French) is an international mathematical competition where over 92 countries are represented. There are twelve levels of participation, ranging from grade 1 to grade 12. According to the organizers, the key competence tested by Mathematical Kangaroo is logical combination, not just pure knowledge of formulas. Last Date for Registration is March, 2024.

Categories of Math Kangaroo Contest

In India Math Kangaroo Contest, students compete in 12 categories. Students of Grade 1 and Grade 2 will take the same test paper Pre-Ecolier but will be ranked separately. Paper taken by grade 1 students is being named as Pre-Ecolier-1 whereas paper taken by students of grade 2 is being named as Pre-Ecolier-2. Same applies for Grade 3, 4; Grade 5, 6; Grade 7, 8; Grade 9, 10 and Grade 11, 12 students.

** If a student fails to attend, his or her annual Olympiad exam and monthly test will not be postponed. There will be no changes to the schedule. There will be no responses to questions about the matter.
** In the event of a legal proceeding, all aspects shall be regulated by Indian law, and all disputes and differences occurring between the parties regarding the matter shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi.

Awards & Prize of Math Kangaroo Contest

** Gold medals will be awarded to the top 5% of competitors; silver medals will be awarded to the next top 10% of competitors, and bronze medals will be awarded to the next top 10% of competitors. All medalists will be presented with merit certificates. Others will receive a participation or appreciation certificate.

** Only an e-certificate will be given for appreciation and participation.
** In the final round of competition, the first-round perfect scorer will compete. Students who score higher than 95% in the final round will receive a Perfect Score Award, a Gold Medal, and $100 in cash.
