What is 6th Indian Open Para Athletics Championship?

6th Indian Open Para Athletics Championships 2024 is organized by Paralympic Committee of India. To be eligible for entry, athletes and guide runners must possess an active IPC Athlete License for 2024. The entry fee for the Competition is Rs. 25000/- per person. All participants are advised to send their entry through their respective State Association in online along with required documents in a single folder (JPG/PDF file) and also send a hard copy of the documents to the PCI office Bengaluru. Last Date of Entry is 15th March 2024.

Eligibility for the Entry of Open Para Athletics Championship

To be eligible for entry, athletes and guide runners must possess an active IPC Athlete License for 2024. This includes athletes with, Review and Confirmed Sport Class Status.
** Athletes having a valid IPC license for the year 2024 with confirmed or reviewed sports classes.
** Entries to this championship will be accepted only through the athlete’s respective State Associations.

** An entry fee of Rs.25,000/- per person is mandatory for all (Athletes, Coaches, and their Escorts), which is towards boarding& lodging, local transport, and medical assistance. The entry fee should be remitted to the Paralympic Committee of India account.

Note:
** There is no Minimum Qualification Standard (MQS)
** The Local Organising Committee (LOC) reserves the right to combine classes, if necessary, by the “World Para Athletics Rules and Regulations”.

How to Register for Open Para Athletics Championship?

Entry:
All participants are advised to send their entry through their respective State Association in online along with required documents in a single folder (JPG/PDF file) and also send a hard copy of the documents to the PCI office Bengaluru, Address

and mail us at info[AT]paralympicindia.org.in – latest by 15th March 2024. Entries received after the entry deadline will not be considered.

Failure of Participation: If an athlete fails to participate in the first event after confirming the entry without any valid reason, he/she then may not be allowed to participate in any of the remaining events registered.

Transport:
Athletes, Team officials & Escorts should intimate their arrival and departure from airport/railway station before 15th March 2024 to Mr. Diwakar through mail for making necessary arrangements for transportation contact number-9036231104, If the information is not sent before the deadline, the organizers will not be held responsible for the transportation.

Accommodation & Food will be provided by the organizers to the Athletes, Team officials & Escorts.

Anti-Doping: Dope samples will be collected by the officials of the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA), as per the option of NADA.
Call Room: All the participating Athletes are required to report at the call room, one hour before the scheduled time of the event. Any athlete reporting directly at the competition area will not be allowed to participate.
Equipment: IAAF/IPC/PCI-approved equipment will only be used during the Championships.

Rules: VI INDIAN OPEN NATIONAL PARA ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIP -2024, BENGALURU shall be conducted following the current IPC Rules/guidelines. The decision of the Referee/Judges shall be final and binding for all the Para Athletes.
