What is Ministry of Tourism Dekho Apna Desh, People’s Choice?

‘Dekho Apna Desh, People’s Choice 2024’ is an initiative by the Ministry of Tourism. This initiative aims to celebrate India’s treasures and hidden gems, honoring the best Tourist Attractions to visit within the country. The Initiative will be conducted on a web portal as will be notified by Ministry based on the rules and regulations stated hereunder. Voting will be conducted on the Website with respect to conducting votes for Tourist Attractions by the participant(s) who wish to take part in the voting for Tourist Attractions through the Website. Last Date of contest is 30th April, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria of Dekho Apna Desh, People’s Choice

Nationality and Residency: Voting is open for individuals residing in and outside of India
Registration:
** Participants residing in India must have an Indian Mobile Number
** Participants residing outside of India must have an Email-ID
Participation Limit: Participants can vote only once per mobile number and/or email ID

How to Vote for Dekho Apna Desh, People’s Choice?

Voting will be conducted online.

Registration:
Participants residing in India will receive an OTP on their Mobile Number.
Participants residing outside India will receive an OTP on their Email ID.

Voting Questions:
Participants are required to answer in two main parts:
Question 1 (Vote for Attractions You Have Visited):
** Favorite tourist attractions that they have visited, if they would visit again and what would they like to improve for that attraction.

Question 2 (Vote for Attractions You Want to Visit):
** Favorite tourist attractions that they would like to visit.

Voting Categories:
Participants can vote for up to three attractions in one to five categories in Question 1
** Spiritual
** Cultural & Heritage
** Nature & Wildlife
** Adventure
** Other

Voting Input Field:
Participants can enter their response and select from drop-down options that appears. In case of ‘Other’ category of Question 1 and/or Question 2, Participants can type ‘New’ to input tourist attractions of their choice.

Certificate:
All Participants will be able download a certificate of participation which can also be shared on social media.

Submission Deadline:
All votes must be submitted before the deadline specified in the Timeline. Late submissions will not be considered.

Selection of Winners for Dekho Apna Desh, People’s Choice

Selection: Winning Attractions will be decided based on the highest number of votes received. The Ministry reserves the final right to choose and award the winner at their sole discretion.
Final Authority: The decision of the Ministry will be final in determining the winners.
Appeals: No appeals or re-evaluations will be entertained.
Lucky Draw (if any) :
** At the sole discretion of the Ministry, a Lucky Draw Contest will also occur.
** Participants are automatically entered into the Lucky Draw when they submit a vote.
** The prizes will be determined by the Ministry, if any.
** Participants cannot claim any losses from the Ministry

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully as they apply for the ‘Dekho Apna Desh, People’s Choice 2024’ Initiative. To be eligible to participate, the participants must accept these Terms and Conditions.
** Participants must not provide any false information in the registration process.
** Participants must keep their contact information accurate and up-to-date.
** The participants will not use this voting initiative to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory.
** If any participant is determined to have violated the terms of the contest, the Ministry will have all rights to disqualify the participant without prior notice.
** If required, the Ministry may change the terms and conditions.
** The Ministry decision is final and cannot be challenged.
** The Ministry reserve the right in their sole discretion to withdraw participation of any individual or reject any submission at any point of time during the process.
