What is EW Project Challenge?
ElectronicWings is the organizer of the EW Project Challenge 2024. The contest is sponsored by DigiKey. The Contest is open to legal residents of India. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. The purpose of the Contest is to encourage participants to develop solutions to address technology issues facing humanity today. The contest will start on April 04, 2024, and closed on Aug 05, 2024. In the duration of the contest, participants can share and submit their projects on the ElectronicWings community for the contest.

Eligibility of EW Project Challenge
** The “Contest” is open to legal residents of India, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Japan, South Africa, and wherever else the Contest is not prohibited or restricted by law.
** The Contest is not open to any jurisdiction where the Contest would be restricted or prohibited by law.
** Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
Timeline of EW Project Challenge
** The Contest will open at 08:00 a.m. IST on April 04, 2024.
** Project submissions will be accepted until 11:00 p.m. IST on Aug 05, 2024.
** The prize winners will be announced on or around 6 pm IST on August 13, 2024.
How To Participate in the EW Project Challenge?
** The purpose of the Contest is to encourage participants to develop solutions to address technology issues facing humanity today.
** The contest will start on April 04, 2024, and closed on Aug 05, 2024. In the duration of the contest, participants can share and submit their projects on the ElectronicWings community for the contest. In the duration of the contest, participants can update/ change/ improve their projects.
** Evaluation will start after Aug 06, 2024, based on your live project in the ElectronicWings community. All submissions must be in English and must comply with any specified requirements.
Required for All Entries of EW Project Challenge
PERSONAL PROFILE :
** Create a personal profile on ElectronicWings.com, completing all required fields and following all instructions. (required of each Participant, including each member of a team).
SUBMISSION CRITERIA :
** Submission must be the participant’s own original work.
** The project should be Hardware-based with domains like Embedded Systems, Electronics, IoT, Robotics, VLSI/FPGA, etc. If the software-based project relates to hardware, will be accepted.
** The project should be submitted in the English language.
** Completeness: Participants need to describe how they created the project, step-by-step project building, including images, screenshots, schematics, codes, and/or a video demonstration. The project should be complete, do not publish the project if the work is in progress.
SHARE PROJECT :
Share a project on ElectronicWings.com, completing all required fields and following all instructions (Know more: How to make good project documentation).
** Add the project title. (Preferably descriptive of what the project does)
** Add a short description of the project, with a high-resolution cover image. (Recommended to be a picture of the project’s end result).
** Add the list of components, platforms, and keywords properly.
** Description: Explain- How to build a project in a step-by-step procedure. Keep it simple. Upload videos if required.
** Add high-resolution images illustrating how to build a project. This may be a sketch, schematic, hardware design, output of the project, or other types of images.
** Showcase your project’s design from start to finish, including aspects of system design, code & complete solution.
** Share code properly with a link to any code repositories (e.g., Github) or upload the code.
** Create a final output video up to five (5) minutes in length, that shows a working prototype. The video does not need to be “studio quality,” but it should “sell” the project to non-technical viewers. Upload the video to YouTube or Vimeo and tag the video with the keyword: EW Project Challenge 2024. Add the video link in your project properly in the Description tab.
** Attach/ upload all required files regarding the project.
** Document all open-source licenses and permissions as well as any applicable third-party licenses/restrictions.
** Once you complete everything, “Publish Project” from the “publish” tab.
Prizes of EW Project Challenge
Prizes with a total worth (INR 5,00,000/-) will be distributed.
** Judges Choice ( Prizes worth INR 2,00,000)
First Prize: INR 1,00,000/-
Second Prize: INR 60,000/-
Third Prize: 40,000/-
** Creative Project (Top 15, worth INR 1,50,000)
Cash Prize INR 10,000.
** Early Bird (First 50 Entries: worth INR 1,15,000/-)

Winners Selection Criteria of EW Project Challenge
There are three winners’ categories.
** Judges’ choice prize
** Creative Project Prize
** Early bird
1. JUDGES’ CHOICE PRIZE (100 POINTS) :
** The project will be evaluated based on the live Project Page. Any content or material not reflected on the live Project Page will not be considered. Judges will select winners based on the following criteria:
Creativity & Innovation (40 points):
** Does the project solve the social problems? Does it influence people’s behavior or lifestyle?
** Does the project have social influence?
** Your idea doesn’t have to be original, but it should be creative (a fresh take on an old idea is often worth as much as a brand-new idea).
Completeness + Documentation (30 points):
** Show how you created your project, including images, screenshots, and/or a video demonstration of your solution working as intended. Ask yourself: “If I were a beginner reading this project, would I understand how to recreate it?”
** Design- Is there a depth of design detail available.
Application Prospects (20 Points):
** Can the project develop into an entrepreneurship program?
** Does the project have the possibility of productization?
Technology Practicality (10 Points):
** Does the technology used is efficient, and cost-effective?
2. CREATIVE PROJECT PRIZE :
** Based on Judges choice criteria top 25 projects will be selected for the creative project prize.
3. EARLY BIRD :
** The first fifty (50) successful project submissions will be winners. The board will be shipped to the winners once fifty winners get declared.
** The project should fulfill the submission criteria along with completeness and originality, any shortfall in fulfilling the criteria will be dropped from the winner’s list.
** Although the contest allows multiple project submissions, only one “Early-Bird” prize per participant will be eligible.
