What is Unified Council National Level Science Talent Search Exam?

National level science talent search examination-2024-25 is conducted by Unified Council. NSTSE is a diagnostic test which helps students improve their overall learning ability and educational performance. Unlike other tests which may only find out how much a student knows or has memorised, NSTSE measures how well a student has understood the concepts and provides a detailed feedback on the same, to help him/her improve.

Eligibility of NSTSE

** Students studying Classes – 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10
** NSTSE follows CBSE syllabus, Question Papers are also suitable for Students of ICSE/ISC and Various State Board/Matriculation Syllabi.

** Offline Exam dates (for Registrations through Schools) 04-12-2024(Wednesday) & 13-12-2024(Friday)
** Online Exam Date (for Direct Registrations) 02-02-2025(Sunday)

** Exam Fee: Rs.300 (The fee includes 2 Past/Model Question Paper,SPR,Success Series Book and Postal charges)
** The Past/Model Question Papers, Success Series Book will be provided as downloadable e-books

Examination Fee :
** Rs. 150 (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty Only)

How To Apply for NSTSE?

Individual Registration:
** We accept direct/individual applications for the NSTSE.
** You can register for NSTSE at http://www.unifiedcouncil.com/options.aspx Online payment facility (Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card) is also available.

Registration through School:
** Please send a single consolidated Demand Draft for the exam fee of all the students appearing for the NSTSE from your school.
** D.D. should be drawn in favour of UNIFIED COUNCIL payable at HYDERABAD.
** Frame the list of students in the FORMAT (preferably typed and send it to our address along with the D.D by Courier Service/Register post / Speed Post.

Awards of National Level Science Talent Search Exam

Ranking System :
** When more than one student gets an equal top score, priority for awarding ranks will be according to the marks acquired in the specified order of sections in the question paper.
** In case of a tie in deciding a rank because of the same marks, the time taken for completing the test is considered for deciding the rank. One who has taken less time for completing, gets the upper rank.

Prizes for National Achievers :
A) NSTSE Topper is awarded Rs. 2,00,000 cash prize*. The student who achieves the 1st rank and highest percentage of marks among all the classes is declared as NSTSE Topper.
B. The Top Ranker and next 2 Rankers in each class are awarded a Laptop and a Tablet PC respectively + a Memento to, each.
C) Ranks 4 to 10 and 11 to 25 of each class, are each awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2000 and Rs. 1000 respectively each.
D) Rankers 26 to 100 of class 1 to 9 are each awarded BMA’s Talent & Olympiad Exams Resource Book and for class 10 are each awarded BMA’s Hand Book of Physics & Chemistry from M/s. Brain Mapping Academy, each.

** Rankers of class 1 to 9 from 1-25, 26-50, 51-100 each are awarded with Olympiad Coach Online Subscription worth Rs. 3996, Rs. 2997, Rs. 1998, a Medal and a Certificate of Appreciation respectively.
** Participation certificates are offered to all students who appear for the examination.

Prizes for State toppers :
** Top 3 rankers of class 1 to 9 from each State (minimum of 10,000 students in a particular State) are awarded with a special award for encouragement. He/she is awarded with Olympiad Coach Online Subscription worth Rs. 1198, and a Certificate of Appreciation.

Note: State-wise ranks are declared after excluding the top 100 ranks across the Globe.

Consolation Prizes :
** Top rankers of class 1 to 9 from selected cities* are awarded Olympiad Coach Online Subscription worth Rs. 1198, and a Certificate of Appreciation.

** Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhubaneswar+Cuttack, Chandigarh+Mohali+Panchkula, Chennai, Faridabad+ Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Jalandhar, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kanpur, Kota, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Noida+Ghaziabad, Pune, Varanasi, Yamuna nagar+Karnal+Ambala+Kurukshetra, Vadodara and Visakhapatnam.

** Note: City-wise topper is declared after the 100 ranks across the Globe and state toppers.
** City Rank (for every Class) is declared for classes having a minimum of 500 students in a particular city.

NSTSE Topper:
A student of any class who achieves 1st rank and 100% marks is awarded a prize money of Rs. 2 Lakh. If no student achieves the same, then the student who achieves the highest percentage of marks among all the classes, is awarded Rs. 1 Lakh. If more than one student achieve the same, the prize money will be distributed equally among them. Each topper will get either this prize or the regular prize.
