What is GEMA World Story Telling Competition?

World Story Telling Competition 2024 is organized by GEMA. GEMA is an education platform that offers just that – a wide range of engaging online classes for kids, taught by experienced and independent educators. All contest entrants must be aged between 3 to 18 years. All entry fees are due in Indian Rupees. Entry fees can be paid online by credit card/debit card or PayPal. Every Participant will get a Participation Certificate. Last Date of Contest is 15th July 2024.

Categories of World Story Telling Competition

** Category A – upto 2 min.
Kindergarten – below Grade 1
** Category B – 2-3 mins
Grade 1-2
** Category C – 3-4 mins.
(Grade 3-5)
** Category D – 3-4 mins.
(Grade 6-8)
** Category E – 4-6 mins.
(Grade 9-12)

How to Participate in the World Story Telling Competition?

STEP 1: PAY REGISTERATION FEE OF YOUR CHILD FOR THE COMPETITION
(Please Note Down the Transaction No/Payment Id mentioned in your Receipt sent by Razorpay to your email post payment)

STEP 2: ONCE YOU WILL PAY THE FEE, YOU WILL BE REDIRECTED TO A ONE TIME FORM LINK WHERE YOU NEED TO UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO LINK, SO PLZ KEEP IT READY WITH YOU.
(Please note its a unique link generated only once,and if missed, system will ask you te repay. So if you are unable to complete it now, kindly save the url of the form and keep it with you. If due to any technical glitch you are not redirected to the form, then please share your fee receipt over whatsapp to: +971-527809450 , we will share the form link with you.)

Guidelines For Participation :
** Complete the Registration by Paying a Fee of US$10
** You will get a Receipt over email from Stripe for your transaction, please note transaction number or payment id from it.
** Record a clear video of the child within the specified time limit.
** Video orientation should be Horizontal.

** All entries should begin with a 5 second Child Intro that includes the following information:
i. Child Name
ii. Child Grade
iii. Child School
iv. Child City/State, Country
v Title of the Story
vi. Line of Exclusivity: “I am glad to be a part of GEMA World Storytelling Competition.”

** Upload the video either over youtube with viewing as public setting or in a google drive with access shared to all as view option.
** Once you have the link either from Youtube or Google Drive, fill the form above, put in the transaction id and video link in it carefully before submitting.
** Please ensure your video link access is open for all, so judges can see it, videos without viewing permission for all will be disqualified automatically.
** Kindly use the full name of school with school branch as same will be printed over your certificate, don’t use abbreviations.

Awards of World Story Telling Competition

** Every Participant will get a Certificate
Prizes & Certificates :
** 3 Winners in Each Category who will get a Trophy and Winners Certificate.
** School Level Winners for Schools with more than 50 Registrations, who will get a Trophy and Winners Certificate.
** Every Participant will get a Participation Certificate.

Judging Criteria of World Story Telling Competition

** The quality of the storytelling performance will be judged, not the quality of the video or filming technique.
** Panel of judges will consider Language, Presentation, Fluency, Props used, Coherence, Expression and Creativity.
i. Language (pronunciation, enunciation, stress, coherence & rhythm)
ii. Presentation (body language, expression, emotion)
iii. Creativity (make the story becomes alive using props, costumes or backgrounds) The decision of the judges is final.

How to do Bulk Entry for Schools?
For bulk entries through schools, please connect with Ms Renne over +971-527809450 at a special fee. For Bulk entries schools don’t need to do individual registrations, just attach all entries in a single email and send it to us on: contact[AT]worldstorytellingcompetition.in. Once we receive the entries, we will send you a combined payment link, which can be used to make a single click payment.

Is there a cap on minimum or maximum entry from a school?
No

What is the Last Date for Registration and sending my video?
All of Registration, Payment and Entry must be submitted online (11:59 pm EST) by 15 July 2024

Do you allow simultaneous submission?
No

What if I would like to edit or exchange an entry that I have already submitted?
Edits must be done prior to entering. Once an entry has been submitted, we do not accept edits, replacements or exchanges. If you wish to re-enter an edited piece, it is most acceptable and is considered to be a new entry. You may wish to slightly alter the entry title or the file name in these cases, so that you are able to identify the versions-should you be selected as a winner.

Is there an age limit for entrants?
All contest entrants must be aged between 3 to 18 years.

How do I submit my entry fee?
All entry fees are due in Indian Rupees. Entry fees can be paid online by credit card/debit card (MC, V, AMEX & DISC) or PayPal. Entry Fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

I paid twice by mistake, what should i do?
Please email your concern to – contact[AT]worldstorytellingcompetition.in alongwith the email ids used and payment receipts of both the payments.

When will winners be notified?
Top Award Winners will be notified with in 15 days of result. Prizes will be distributed with in 90 days of result declaration. Entrants not selected as winners will not be notified at this time; non-winners will be emailed a competition status update in the weeks following the winner notification date. If you enter multiple times, please excuse duplicate emails as you may receive an email for each separate entry.
