Painting Competition

Dugongs are the only herbivorous, marine mammals in the world. They feed on seagrasses, an ecosystem which is highly vulnerable to anthropogenic pressure. These gentle giants are classified as vulnerable globally by the IUCN Red List. In India, they are only found in seagrass meadows across 3 regions; Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Andaman-Nicobar Islands.

On the occasion of World Dugong Day 2024, we invite artists to use their creativity to showcase “Dugongs in the Ocean”.

Theme

On the occasion of World Dugong Day 2024, we invite vloggers to use their creativity to showcase local conservation efforts to protect ocean life. Entries will be judged based on their originality and authenticity.

Instructions

1. Your video length should not exceed 3 minutes
2. Preferred language: English
3. Your videos should be original and previously unpublished
4. Include brief description on location details and local conservation efforts
5. No animals should be handled or disturbed in the video. Any such entries will be disqualified and actions reported.
6. Videos should not contain hateful speech and graphic content
7. Any person(s) featured in the video must have consented to being in the video
