What is Star Suvarna – Phone (Watch & Win) Contest?

“Phone (Watch & Win) Contest 2024” is organized by Star India Private Limited. for the purpose of promotion and viewer engagement of the program titled “Hu Anthiya Uhuu Anthiya” (“Program”) on its channel ‘Star Suvarna’. This contest is open to Resident of Karnataka State. The Contest shall be conducted for two days ie., 19th May 2024 at 07:00 PM and 26th May 2024 at 07:00 PM on the Channel. Each Winner shall be entitled to a gratification of one iPhone worth not exceeding Rs.53,000/-.

Eligibility of Phone (Watch & Win) Contest

The Participant(s) interested in participating in the Contest must be
1. Citizen of India,
2. 18 years (eighteen) and above years
3. Resident of Karnataka State
4. The Participant(s) should not have been previously convicted of any criminal offense or must not be a party to an arrangement or a contract that prevents them from participating in the Contest.

How to Participate in the Phone Contest?

** SIPL shall announce the Contest via promos on the Channel and other channels of SIPL, and digital platforms of the Channel (Facebook and Instagram) or through any other medium of exploitation which shall be at the sole discretion of SIPL.
** The Contest shall be conducted for two (2) days ie., May 19, 2024 at 07:00 PM Indian Standard Time (“IST”) and May 26, 2024 at 07:00 PM IST (“Contest Period”) on the Channel.
** For sake of clarity it is clarified that the Contest Period shall consist of only two (2) days and there will be 2 (two) questions during the Contest Period.
** The Contest shall comprise of two (2) multi choice questions with two answer options for each question.
** The Questions in the Contest are similar to the questions asked in first segment titled “Fact Round” of the Program telecasted in the Channel between 07:00 PM IST and 08;00 PM IST of (“Question/s”) on each day of the Contest Period.
** Each Questions shall be triggered before last break of telecast of the Program on each day of the Contest Period and no other timeslots.
** It is clarified that the Questions of the Contest triggered during the Contest Period shall be strictly similar to the questions asked in the first segment titled “Fact Round” of the respective episode of the Program being telecast on the Channel.
** It is clarified that the Questions shall be exhibited on a graphical slate before the last break of the respective episodes of the Program.

** To participate in the Contest and to be eligible for the Gratification (as defined below), the interested Participant(s) shall be required to correctly answer both or any one Question/s exhibited on graphical slate during telecast of the respective episode of the Program in the Channel, by making a missed call to the unique mobile numbers shown against the correct answer option to the respective Question.

** The phone lines shall remain opened for one (1) hour from the time when the respective episode is closed ie., till 09:00 PM on each day of the Contest Period.

Gratification of Phone (Watch & Win) Contest

** At the end of Contest Period and for the Questions asked during telecast of the respective episode of the Program and on the basis of the Participant (s) having made a valid Entry/ies and correct Answer(s) within the Answer Timelines, SIPL will shortlist 6 Participants (“Shortlisted Participants”) on randomiser basis for each Question.

** Out of the 6 Shortlisted Participants, SIPL will select one(1) winner for each Question by using randomiser and thus there will be a total of two (2) winners for the entire Contest.

** Each Winner shall be entitled to a gratification of one iPhone worth not exceeding Rs.53,000/- (Rupees Fifty Three Thousand only) (“Gratification”). It is further clarified that SIPL shall at its sole discretion select the Winners based on the criterion mentioned herein.
