Terms & Conditions of G V Rao Memorial Essay Competition

** The Essay should be original in the form of essay, research paper, technical paper or case study. It should not have been published elsewhere in same or in modified form.
** Length of the Essay: Minimum 5,000 words and Maximum 10,000 words.
** The Essay must also contain an abstract, not exceeding 500 words.

** Formatting Rules:
a) Page size A4
b) Margins: Normal (1 inch on all sides)
c) Line spacing: 1.5
d) Major heading: Arial 14 Bold
e) Sub headings: Arial 12 Bold
f) Content: Arial 12 Normal
g) Footnotes/ Endnotes/ Textboxes: Arial 10

** Sources of data used in the Essay must be authentic, with due permissions and referencing. All sources may be duly acknowledged.
** Sources of profound statements, if any, should be mentioned clearly wherever required.
** The Essay would be subject to plagiarism check. If the Essay is found to have copied matter without due acknowledgement and referencing or beyond permissible limits, the submission would be rejected and the author may be black-listed.
** Prizes would be decided by the ‘G V Rao Memorial Essay Competition Committee’ and its decisions would be final and binding on all submissions/ authors.
** Those interested to participate in the G V Rao Memorial Essay Competition may intimate the same to III by email to research[AT]iii.org.in with the topic proposed and required information
** The Research Paper and abstract, complete in all respects may be sent by e-mail to research[AT]iii.org.in so as to reach III not later than 10th July, 2024.

** The Institute shall have the copyright of the essays selected for award which shall become the property of the Institute. The Prize winning essays shall be published in the Journal of the Institute at the discretion of the Editorial Board. Publications, thereafter elsewhere would need III approval in writing.

** If any Essay/Paper entry is found to be incompatible with the above Rules and Conditions then, such entry will not be considered. The Institute reserves its right to accept or reject the contributions received for the Competition and the decision of the Insurance Institute of India shall be final and binding in this respect.

** The result of the Essay Competition will be announced by August/September 2024 on the website insuranceinstituteofindia.com.
