Ahem-Gopi-Koki Ki Pasand Contest 2016 :

These terms and conditions (‘Terms & Conditions’) shall be binding on all participants (each a ‘Participant’) who voluntarily agree participate in the missed call contest titled “Ahem-Gopi-Koki Ki Pasand Contest” (‘Contest’) being hosted by Star India Private Limited (‘Star/Star India ’) for the purpose of promotion and viewer engagement of the program titled “Saath Nibhana Saathiya” (“Program”) that is currently being aired on the channel STAR Utsav (“Channel”).

Contest Last Date : February 06th, 2016

The Privacy Policy available at the Website shall govern all usage of any personal information disclosed by you including but not limited to name, contact number, email ID, residential address, etc. (“Personal Information”) and/or any other information as detailed in the Privacy Policy and including but not limited to any information gathered in relation to your participation in the Contest under or pursuant to this Contest by STAR India (if any).

Principal Rules:

1. The Contest shall be open for participation from IST 0930 hours on January 10th, 2016 up to IST 1300 hours on February 06th, 2016 till (both days inclusive) (‘Contest Period’) and any extensions/modifications as notified by Star India from time to time. STAR reserves all rights to make amendments to the Contest Period or such other terms and conditions stated herein, without giving prior notice. It shall be the sole responsibility of the Participant (s) to check the Terms and Conditions for the Contest on the Website from time to time.

Star also reserves the right to (i) cancel and/or postpone the Contest without any prior intimation to the Participants or (ii) modify the process for participation or process of selecting Winners (as defined below) (iii) extend or curtail the Contest Period or suspend or abandon the same at any time, and the Participant shall have no objection to the same whatsoever, nor shall the Participant make any claims /disputes in respect of the same.

2. The Contest shall comprise of each and every single multi choice question, based on each episode of the Program trigerred on the Channel on a daily basis during the Period (“Daily Question”). The Contest shall be triggered on a daily basis between 9.30 am and 1 pm during the Period (“Daily Period”). It may be clarified that the Contest lines shall be open during the Daily Period.

For avoidance of doubt it is clarified that the Daily Question(s) triggered during the Daily Period shall be refreshed and shall vary from each other and shall not exceed a number of 28 (twenty eight) questions in the Contest Period. It is clarified that each Daily Question of the Contest triggered during the Daily Period shall be strictly based on the personal favourites of the prominent characters of the Program.

3. To participate in the Contest and to be eligible for the Prize (as defined below), the interested Participant(s) shall be required to do the following :
a. Correctly answer the Daily Question, triggered during the Daily Period by dialling the corresponding toll free number ________OR ______ OR _______(hereinafter collectively referred to as ‘Unique Number’) and give a missed call (‘Missed Call’) through his/her mobile number and /or land line (‘Calling Device’) (“Answer”). Answer(s)/Entry(s) received by Star India after Daily Period will not be considered and shall be deemed null and void without requirement of any further intimation by Star India.

b. Thereinafter the Participant will receive an SMS on his/her mobile phone or a voice call/call back on his/her Calling Device saying “Aapka jawaab darj kar liya gaya hai, Dhanyavaad. Dekhte rahiye STAR UTSAV roz subah 9.30 se 12 aur jeetne ke liye dijiye zyaada se zyaada sawaalon ke jawaab”.

C. For purposes of this Contest, “receipt” of Answer(s) occurs when
(i) the mobile/network operator records the Answer information upon the Participant(s) calling the Unique Number and giving a missed call and
(ii) the Participant receives an SMS on his/her mobile phone or a voice call/call back on his/her Calling Device saying “Aapka jawaab darj kar liya gaya hai, Dhanyavaad. Dekhte rahiye STAR UTSAV roz subah 9.30 se 12 aur jeetne ke liye dijiye zyaada se zyaada sawaalon ke jawaab”.

In the event that the SMS or voice call is not received or played to the Participants due to a disruption in functionality and/or network, or a fault in the mechanism, and the Answer is not received, STAR India will not be held responsible for the same. For sake of clarity, any automated receipt confirmation shall not constitute proof of actual receipt.

d. Providing the correct Answer for each of the Daily Question(s) of the Contest during the Daily Period by the Participant(s) by dialling the corresponding correct Unique Number shall be considered as a complete and valid entry (“Entry”). For the avoidance of doubt, by submitting the Entry and /or Answer(s) the Participant(s) is representing that the Entry(s) and /or Answer(s) or contents thereof are not confidential or comprise any sensitive personal information.

e. It is clarified that each Participant shall be entitled to submit /provide Answer only once through Missed Call from a particular Calling Device for each respective Daily Question triggered during the Daily Period. In the event a Participant submits/provides an Answer to a particular Daily Question multiple times from a particular Calling Device then only the first Answer shall be taken into consideration and the remaining Entry(s) shall be rejected and declared null and void. It is further clarified that for the remaining Daily Questions triggered during the Contest Period each Participant shall be entitled to submit /provide Answer(s), in the manner and according to the terms stated herein.

f. It is further clarified that for the purposes of the Contest and to be eligible for the Prize, it is mandatory that the Calling Device through which the Participant participates in the Contest is duly registered in his /her name or his/her immediate family member’s name.
g. The Participant will not be charged for giving a Missed Call and/or for participating in the Contest.

h. At the end of the Period on the basis of the Participant(s) having made a valid Entry and providing or submitting maximum correct Answer(s) in the manner stated herein for all the Daily Questions triggered during the Period, STAR India shall at its discretion shortlist the Participant(s). Subsequently out of the shortlisted Participants, STAR India shall, based on the aforementioned criterion by way of random selection, at its discretion, select and declare 5 (five) winners at the end of the Contest Period (hereinafter collectively referred to as ‘Winners’).

The total number of Winners declared during the Period shall not exceed 5 (five). Each of the Winner(s) shall be entitled to gratification in the form of meet and greet opportunity with the lead actors of the Program (“Prize”). The details of the venue and timings of such meet and greet shall be decided by Star India at its sole discretion and intimated to the Winners. The Winners shall be announced on the Platform and /or the Website on February 20th, 2016 at STAR India’s discretion. The Winners would be contacted on the same Calling Device through which they participated.

The Winner/s may note that STAR will attempt to contact the Winner/s for a maximum number of 2 (two) times by way of making a phone call on the Calling Device from which they participated. If the call goes unanswered after calling the Participant twice OR if the Participant does not attempt to call back, STAR will cease to consider the respective Winner for the purposes of the Contest and such Winner shall cease to be eligible for the Prize. STAR in such a case reserves the right to consider the subsequent valid Entry received by a Participant as a Winner and select such Participant as a one of the Winners of the Contest.

The Participants agree that such decision of STAR shall be final and binding on all the Participants and the Participants agree to waive their right to take any kind of objection or make any claims in this regard on STAR or any of its affiliate entities. STAR shall not in any manner be liable to compensate the Participant for loss of opportunity of any Participant to win the show or for any losses, claims, costs or damages in this regard and shall be perpetually released from all its obligations towards the Participants in this connection.

i. Each Participant/Winner consents to the use of information supplied by the Participant for the purposes as set out in these Terms and Conditions and specifically the number of the Calling Device through which they participated. For avoidance of doubt it is clarified that STAR India’s decision in regard to the selection and declaration of the Winner(s) shall be final and binding. For the sake of clarity, mere participation in the Contest does not entitle the Participant(s) to win the Prize.

Only the Participant(s) having made a valid Entry and who are shortlisted and declared as Winner(s) based on the criterion mentioned hereinabove shall be entitled to the Prize. It is further clarified that save and except the Prize stated hereinabove, the Participant(s)/Winner(s) shall not be entitled to any other form of gratification (monetary or otherwise).

4. Answer(s) submitted before/after the Daily Period and /or Contest Period will not be considered and shall be deemed null and void without requirement of any further intimation by STAR India.

5. The final selection of the Winner(s) shall be made by STAR India and shall be final and binding on the entire Participant (s)/Winners and in no event shall the Participant (s)/Winner(s) dispute the decision made by STAR India or its employees in connection to the Entry/Answer and /or the Contest. For the sake of clarity, in the event of any fault, misunderstanding or dispute concerning any part of the Contest and/or the selection process to qualify for the Contest, the decision of STAR India shall be final and binding.

6. The Participants/Winner(s) shall not in any circumstances make any claims against STAR India entities arising out of or relating to any and all costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including, without limitation due to any technical faults or directly or indirectly, to the Participant(s)/Winner’s participation or non-participation in the Contest or any related activity. If the Participant/Winner is found to be ineligible, or if he or she has not complied with any of the Terms and Conditions, then the corresponding Entries will be disqualified.
