What is Guwahati Biotech Park Talent Search Contest?

Talent Search Contest on Innovative Ideas Leading to Entrepreneurial Venture in Fisheries, Aquaculture and Allied Areas 2024 is organized by Business Incubation Centre for Fisheries and Aquaculture & Guwahati Biotech Park. Students, start-ups, Farmers, Entrepreneurs and anyone interested in fisheries and aquaculture sectors may apply in this contest. Participants can submit their Project Proposal/ innovative ideas in the prescribed format then sent to the BICFA, GBP via Google Form. Last Date of Contest is 30th October 2024.

Objectives of Talent Search Contest

This program is designed to catalyze the growth of the fisheries, aquaculture and allied industry especially in Assam and in NER. This contest is planned to harness the innovations that can be applied in sustainable livelihood generation as well as woman empowerment. Thrust areas of the contest are as follows:
** Ornamental fishery
** Innovations in Bioflocs /RAS
** Hydroponics/ Aquaponics
** Value added products
** Algal technology
** Pearl/Snail culture
** AI in fisheries
** Waste to wealth strategies
** Conservation strategies
** Innovations in quality fish seed production
** Incorporation of Solar Technologies in Fisheries & Aquaculture
** Testing kit development for disease diagnosis and water testing
** Utilization of local resources for fish faming
** Integrated fish farming and advanced polyculture strategies
** Quality fish seed production of high-valued food/ornamental fishes
** Innovative low-cost technologies for fish tagging, auto-feeder, aeration system, seed transportation, hatchery etc.
** Formulation & Manufacture of quality fish feed/fish meal using local ingredients

Eligibility of Talent Search Contest

** Students, start-ups, Farmers, Entrepreneurs and anyone interested in fisheries and aquaculture sectors may apply in this contest.
** Participants must submit a scanned copy of the photo ID card (PAN/ Aadhar).
** If the applicant is associated with any organization related to the submitted project, he/she have to submit a NOC from Supervisor/ Head of the Institute/Organization along with the application.
** Those who are not associated with any organization can submit a self-declaration.

Note:
If the proposal is submitted in a team, maximum number allowed is 2 persons and the proposal will be considered as one proposal. Terms can consist of members from different organizations. A team cannot submit more than one proposal. Also, a member can be part of only one team. If a team proposal is selected, the prize will be given as one award.

How to Apply for Talent Search Contest?

** Participants can submit their Project Proposal/ innovative ideas in the prescribed format (Annexure I). This may be sent to the BICFA, GBP via Google Form (Google Form Link https://tinyurl.com/TSCBICFA2024).
** Proposal received after the stipulated time will not be entertained. All the details of the contest, link, any updates and the list of selected participants can be seen in the website of GBP i.e. guwahatibiotechpark.com/News and Events and social media pages of BICFA, GBP.
