What is CBSE 2nd Expression Series?

The 2nd Expression Series for the academic session 2024-25 will be organized by CBSE on the theme Yuva Shakti for Viksit Bharat. All students of classes 3 to 12 in CBSE affiliated schools are eligible to participate in the Expression Series. Paragraph / Essay can be written in Hindi or English. Last Date of Contest is 21st October 2024.

Topics of 2nd Expression Series

The topics for each category are given as under:
Class Category : Primary (Class 3 to 5)
Medium : Paragraph (150 words) / Painting
Topic :
** My dream job when I grow up.
** What can I do to protect the environment?

Class Category : Middle (Class 6 to 8)
Medium : Essay (400 words) / Painting/ Poem
Topic :
** What does the rupee suggest for its effective utilization?
** Staying safe in the cyber world means staying safe in the real world.

Class Category : Secondary (Class 9 to 10)
Medium : Essay (700 words) / Painting / Poem
Topic :
** There is no right time for being financially literate.
** Use of social media as a learning tool.

Class Category : Senior Secondary (Class 11 to 12)
Medium : Essay (1000 words) / Painting / Poem
Topic :
** The new entrepreneurial idea for my village/town.
** What new things do I wish Bharat to have in 2047?

Conduct of 2nd Expression Series

A. Conduct at the School Level:
i. Schools shall organize the school-level Expression Series during school hours on the above topics from 07 October 2024 to 21 October 2024. Information on the conduct of the Expression Series should be given to all students.
ii. For participation in Expression Series activities, i.e. Essays/ Paragraphs/Paintings/Poems, etc., please use the format given in Annexure I.
iii. Paragraph / Essay can be written in Hindi or English.
iv. Schools shall complete the evaluation of entries and shortlist one entry per class category (a total of 04 entries from a school) for onward submission to CBSE.
v. Entries must be supported by a Certificate from the Head of the Institution/ Teacher in charge that the entry is the original work of the participant.

Guidelines for Entry Submission by School

Please make sure you have the latest version of the CBSE Expression Series App. To ensure the same go to the Google Play Store and search for CBSE Expression Series app. If you have getting update option, then please update the CBSE Expression Series app first before uploading.

Expression Series Android App Usage Details: –
Requirement: Android smart phone having operating system version 5.0 and above with internet connectivity.
1. CBSE Expression Series app may be downloaded and installed from Google Play Store. At the time of installation, please ensure that you “Accept” the permissions asked by app.

2. Tap on the “CBSE Expression Series” icon to launch the App and follow the steps given below:
Step-1: Enter Affiliation No and LOC/Registration Password as Password and then tap on “SUBMIT” button.
Step-2 : Follow the steps given below after successful authentication
** Enter the Name of Candidate.
** Enter mobile number.
** Enter E-Mail ID.
** Enter the Roll Number generated at the school level.
** Select class category (primary/ middle/secondary/senior secondary).
** Select Class.
** Tap on “Take Photo” button to click the picture or select picture from media. Please ensure that the sheet contain all required details as given on annexure I.
** Tap “Upload Photo” and Upload picture on server.
** Click on ‘View Certificate’ for the online certificate generated after the successful submission of entry by school.
** For Viewing the online certificate, kindly enter your mobile number and roll no. and click search.
