What is CREST Reasoning Olympiad?

The CREST Reasoning Olympiad (CRO) is an international competitive exam held online for students in Grades 1-10. There will be only one level for all the classes. The exam is an objective-type test that the students need to complete in 60 minutes. CBSE, ICSE/ISC and other State Board syllabus is followed for the setting of test papers. The online exams are conducted on web-enabled devices like laptop, tablet or desktop with webcam. Mobile devices are not allowed. In case the registration is not through school, the student will have to take exam from home.

Eligibility Criteria of CREST Reasoning Olympiad

CREST Reasoning Olympiad is considered to be one of the most participated and unique Reasoning Olympiad exams. The main motive for conducting this examination every year is to test the logical and reasoning capabilities of students.

A few of the basic necessities for participating in level 1 of CRO are listed below:
a. The students studying in classes 1-10 are eligible to participate.
b. Candidates can participate in the exam by registering individually and through schools.
c. All the participating schools must be affiliated with any Indian recognized education board like ICSE, CBSE, State Board, IB, etc.
d. As it is an international Olympiad exam, students from any country can give the exam.

How to Participate in the CREST Reasoning Olympiad?

Registration of Students through schools:
Students from classes 1-10 are eligible to take CREST Reasoning Olympiad. Prospectus containing the registration forms are sent to all schools registered with CREST Olympiads for Reasoning Olympiad. If your school is not registered with us, then please send an email to info@crestolympiads.com and we will send you the prospectus soon. It is mandatory for schools to return the registration forms to CREST Olympiads, duly filled in and complete in all respects by the due date.

Registration for individual participants:
If your school does not conduct Reasoning Olympiad, then you can register as an individual participant as well.

Syllabus & Exam Pattern For CREST Reasoning Olympiad

The CREST Reasoning Olympiad is a new and unique way of enhancing students’ reasoning capabilities. Reasoning skill is always considered to be a prime factor of importance in most competitive exams. CRO exam examines students’ ability to analyze and make decisions logically. Just like other skills, students can improve and develop their reasoning ability.

The syllabus for the CREST Reasoning Olympiad is differently set for each class with a slight increase in difficulty. The exam majorly covers areas like patterns, geometric shapes, analogy, spatial understanding, coding-decoding and many more such topics. As we read above, the CRO question paper is divided into 2 sections. Each section has a different marking scheme. The marking scheme varies for each class.

a. For grades 1-4, the total weightage of the paper is 45 marks.
b. For grades 5-10, the total weightage of the paper is 60 marks.

The exam fee is INR 225 for students studying and enrolling from India. For students studying and residing outside of India, the fee is country specific.
