What is DRDO Dare to Dream 5.0 Innovation Contest?
Dare to Dream 5.0 Innovation Contest invites duly filled forms from Individual Innovators, Startups and Micro & Small Enterprises. The contest is open to Individual, Start-ups and Micro & Small Enterprises. Cash award will be given to registered individual / Team leader and registered representative of the Start-up and registered representative of the Micro & Small Enterprises only. Last date of registration is 31st January 2025.
Eligibility of DRDO Dare to Dream 5.0 Innovation Contest
Individual Innovators: Should be an Indian citizen above 18 years of age (can also register as a team)
Start-ups: Recognized by DPIIT and owned by Indian citizens.
Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs): Registered with Ministry of MSME & owned by Indian citizens.
How To Register For DRDO Dare to Dream 5.0 Innovation Contest?
** Please go through the Contest details, Terms & Conditions and FAQs before submitting the application.
** Applicant either Individual, Startup or MSE has to submit Registration form along with Application form for the Challenge Area as per given formats.
** Scanned copies of duly filled Registration form & Application form along with necessary documents to be mailed as a .zip file (All documents should be in PDF format). The email should be sent to- dare2dream[dot]hqr[at]gov[dot]in
** An applicant can submit upto 3 entries in three different challenge areas.
** Entries in “Open Category” must have direct application/utility in Defence/Aerospace domain.
** The applicant should atleast be of 18 years of age at the date of closing of contest.
** Once the application is submitted, it shall be deemed as final & shall not be allowed to be modified.
** The decision of DRDO is final for the matters of the Contest.

1. The Contest open to Individuals, Start-ups and Micro & Small Enterprises only, or can I participate as a team?
The contest is open to Individual, Start-ups and Micro & Small Enterprises. In case, a team of individuals want to participate. Total maximum 04 members with one defined leader can participate under individual category.
2. Will all my team members received cash award on winning?
Cash award will be given to registered individual / Team leader and registered representative of the Start-up and registered representative of the Micro & Small Enterprises only.
3. Can I participate in against only 1 challenge area or against multiple challenge areas?
You can submit up to three entries in three different challenge areas.
4. Can I submit multiple entries against a single challenge area?
No, you are allowed to submit one entry only against one challenge area.
5. How will my entry be evaluated?
Entries will be collated against different challenge area. The entries will be checked for completeness. Any query found incomplete will be summarily rejected. The participant has to ensure that the entry is complete in all respect. Entries will be evaluated by two level of expert committees and the committee may contact the applicant on need basis. The decision of committee will be final
