What is Duolingo Win With The DET Contest?

Win With The DET (Duolingo English Test) Contest 2025 is conducted by Duolingo. We are making your study abroad journey special with the WIN WITH THE DET CONTEST. Enter to win a one-way business class ticket to your dream university, a brand new laptop, a pair of headphones, or other incredible rewards! Participants must be Indian citizens or legal residents of India. Participants must follow the official Instagram account @studyabroadwithdet and tag it while posting the scorecard. Last date of contest is 31st January 2025.

Eligibility of Duolingo Win With The DET Contest

The Contest is open to legal residents of India who
(i) are age 16 or older at the time of entry (entrants who are under the relevant age of majority in their state of residence confirm they have parental consent to enter the Contest and agree to these Official Rules),
(ii) have taken the Duolingo English Test (“DET”) during the Contest Period, and
(iii) will use their DET score to seek admission to an international university. Officers, directors, and employees of Sponsor and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies (all such individuals and entities referred to collectively, the “Contest Entities”), and each of their immediate family members and/or people living in the same household are NOT eligible to enter the Contest or win a prize.

How To Enter in the Duolingo Win With The DET Contest?

Eligible entrants who meet the criteria above can enter the Duolingo Win With The DET Contest during the Contest Period as follows:

** Use one (1) credit to take the DET during the Contest Period (if you do not already own the DET or if you’ve run out of credits, you can purchase the DET online here, and you can purchase additional credits here).
** Obtain a DET Score of 150+ to be eligible to win the grand prize; obtain a DET Score of 140-150 to be eligible to win a first prize; obtain a score of 130-140 to be eligible to win a second prize; or, obtain a score of 120 – 130 to be eligible to win a third prize.
** Complete the entry form, which includes submission of your official DET scorecard and the study abroad destination to which you are applying, here: Landing/submission page URL

Note:
Entries must be received by Sponsor by 7:00pm IST January 31, 2025. Your entry will not be deemed complete unless you have completed the form and submitted your official DET scorecard before the deadline! Limit one (1) entry per person, regardless of whether the entrant has multiple email addresses or Duolingo accounts.

Prizes of Duolingo Win With The DET Contest

** One (1) grand prize winner will receive one (1) one-way business class airfare to their specified study abroad destination (approximate retail value INR 3 lakh)
** Three (3) first prize winners will each receive one (1) one-way economy class airfare to their specified study abroad destination (approximate retail value INR 80k each)
** Six (6) second prize winners will each receive one (1) new laptop computer (approximate retail value INR 60k each)
** Ten (10) third prize winners will each receive one (1) set of noise-canceling headphones (approximate retail value INR 8k each)

Note:
Approximate retail value (ARV) of all prizes combined: INR 10 lakhs. For the avoidance of doubt, any amounts earned by Sponsor due to sales of the DET in connection with the Contest will in no manner be pooled or distributed to the participants as prizing or otherwise.
