Swami Vivekananda is remembered as one of the main moulders of modern world by harmonizing the East and West, Religion and Science, Past and Present and especially inspiring the youth of today ,who are the pillars of tomorrow.

To motivate and inspire them through the teachings and thoughts of Swami Vivekananda, Shardayatan School [ English Medium ] has organized Twentieth Inter School Elocution and Essay Writing Competition on 18th January, 2016. We cordially invite you to participate

Rules for the competitions :
1. Participating school has to send the entry directly to the school or online on the following : info@shardayatan.org
2. Participants can speak or write in English or Hindi.
3. Only one participant from each group can take part.
4. Time duration for elocution will be 5 minutes.
5. Time duration for essay writing competition will be one hour.
6. Name, group and language has to be clearly mentioned and the entry should reach the school by 5th January, 2016. [Between 8:00 am to 12:15 pm[Mon. to Fri. ] and 11:30 am to 3:00 pm [Sat]]
7. Each participant will be awarded with a certificate and a memento.
8. Separate forms have to be filled for English and Hindi Elocution and Essay writing.
9. Participants are requested to reach the venue 15 minutes before the commencing of the program.

Topics for the competition:

Group- 1: [Standard 6 to 8]
Elocution : One inspirational moment from the life of Swamiji.
Essay Writing: Swami Vivekananda from Children’s perspective.

Group- 2 :[Standard 9, 10]
Elocution : Inter relation of science and religion – In Swamiji’s views.
Essay Writing: “Do your duty and be detached from its outcome.”

Group-3: [Standard 11, 12]
Elocution : Importance of values of Bhagwad Gita in human life according to Swami Vivekananda.
Essay Writing: Renaissance of India through cultural spirituality.
