1. For each category, one Cycle will be given as first prize.
2. The runner up will be awarded with the prestigious Kamalam John Samuel Memorial rolling Trophy sponsored by Mr. J.C.D.Prabhakar, M.L.A.,
3. Glittering cups / mementos will be given to the remaining 110 rankers (110 Nos.) & two rankers each from sponsor, TI Cycles of India and venue sponsor, Baharathi Matric. Higher Secondary school respectively
4. TI Cycles Ever Rolling Trophy for Best Performing School/ College.
5. Special award will be given to the school sending more students.
6. Special award will be given to the Chess Academy sending more students.Prize Distribution Function: 12th July (Sunday) 2015 at 1700 Hrs.

Entry Fee:

** Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) per player, can be sent by D.D., Cheque or M.O. in favor of Tiruvallur District Chess Association payable at Chennai only to: Tiruvallur District Chess Association, No.24, Janani complex, IIIrd floor, M.T.H.Road, Thirumullaivoil, Chennai-600 062 (Opp: Thirumullivoil Bus Terminal).

Entry:

** A school / College may send any number of Entries. Points of the best performers of the school / College (Same Institution) from different or same categories will be calculated to decide the school / College, winning the Trophy.

Important Note:
** TI Cycles of India is sponsors of this tournament and they are not in any manner responsible for any incident or eventuality that may take place at the venue.
** Any complaint or suggestion to the organizers of the Tournament, Tiruvallur District Chess Association should be contacted.

Rules & Regulations :

Eligibility : Only Tamil Nadu Schools / College players are eligible to participate.
System of Play: The Latest FIDE Rules in force shall apply and the Swiss system will be followed.
Time Control : Each 30 minutes.
Mode of Tournament :
** On the first day, 4 rounds will take place with the first round commencing at 11.30 a.m.
** On the second and final day there will be five rounds with the first round commencing at 9.30 a.m.
TNSCA Registration :
** TNSCA registration is compulsory. TNSCA Registration fee is Rs.100/- for the year 2015-2016.
** Players registering with TNSCA should submit duly filled and signed TNSCA Players Registration form along with a copy of their Date of Birth certificate and one passport size photograph.
** The date of birth certificates registered within one year of the birth of the Player alone will be recognized and allowed to participate.
Tiruvallur DCA Registration:
** District Registration is compulsory for Tiruvallur district players. The district Registration fee is Rs.50/- for the year 2015-16.
Chess Sets :
** Players are requested to bring their own International chess sets (and chess clock if, any).
Tie Break :
** Buchholz tiebreak system will be applied .In case of tie, prizes will not be shared.
Withdrawals :
** A player may withdraw at any stage of the event, after informing the chief arbiter in writing
Decision :
** The Arbiters’ decisions’ shall be final and binding on all players concerned.
Age Proof :
** Age proof Certificate must be produced for Children’s category prizes.
Food :
** Food can be had in the canteen on payment.
Discipline :
** In disciplined chess players inside the school premises will be debarred from the Tournament.
** The unconsumed food particles and other wasted eatables including fruit skins must be deposited in the dustbin only
