Inter School Chess Competition Rules & Instructions:

** Every team should consist of minimum 3 and maximum 6 participants.

Competition Dates : 12th and 13th January

** It’s an Open tournament. Team composition could be any of the following. Only boys, Only girls or Mix
** 4 team members will participate in each round. Board order (the order in which the team participants will play) need to be conveyed before the match.
** Their captains should represent every team.
** Within a school, different centers can send their participation.
** Multiple teams are allowed from one school
** In case individuals could not form a team, they should do their individual registration. We will club them into one team if more participants belonging to the same school send their registration.
** While representing a school, minimum 3 participants should belong to that school and rest of the participants could be from different centers/schools
** The Swiss Program Manager will govern match fixtures.
** Each round will be of one and a half hours and in case a match still doesn’t get over, 5 minutes on a chess clock will come into force.
** Teams should bring their own chessboards.
** FIDE rules will apply during the competition.
** Venue for the tournament is Sports Complex
** For any conflict during the play, Arbiters decision will be final
** Last date for Registration 11th Jan, 2016
