Animation Olympiad :

Animation Olympiad is the biggest online animation and multimedia olympiad in India. An event on Visual Design which covers topics ranging from Graphics Designing , Web Designing , Animation to Visual Effects and myriad topics in between.

Award Ceremony: 20th April 2016

It is not half as serious as it sounds! Participants get to learn new concepts and ideas which may help boost their confidence in above areas which additionally helps to shape their future in this exciting field.

Eligibility:
** Any animation, Design or Multimedia Institute , School , College , Company or Studio.
** One can participate as an Individual also.
** The participant should register themselves on our official website i.e.animationolympiad.com
** The participant must be of any country.

Rounds:
Animation Olympiad will have two rounds to judge the Fundamental and Practical skills of participants.

Online Track :
1st Round will be Online Exam of basic , Intermediate and Advance concepts of Animation and Multimedia.

Portfolio Track:
This is the last and Final Round where short listed candidates of 1st Round will participate on the portfolio / artwork creation on the topics assigned by our Jury members.

Categories:
The participants can register as Student Category

Student :
Any student who is currently pursuing any animation , design or multimedia course from any Institute

First stage : Online Exam
** The first round will include MCQ on the fundamentals of selected track on participant. The tracks are Graphics Designing / Web Designing / Animation / Editing & Visual Effects.
** The exam can be given from any place with the specific technical configuration recommended for exam.
** Time Limit for this round is 60 minutes and the number of questions asked is 50.
** Level of complexity would range from basic to medium levels.
** Top 50 Candidates from each track will be selected for Round 2.
** Every participant of first round would be awarded with a certificate of participation in National level Animation Olympiad.

Final stage : Portfolio Showcase
** Top 50 candidates of each track will qualify for this round.
** Participants in this round will be assigned a creative task to be complete.
** On completion the finished showreel along with the original source files must be send to Jury of Olympiad by FTP upload on or before the last date of submission.
** Top 3 Showreels/ Artwork will be awarded as 1st , 2nd and 3rd in each track.
** Jury’s decision will be announced in the Grand Award ceremony with the presentation of Winning showreels.
** Placement assistance opportunity will be given to all the winners in all the categories.

Common Rules:

** The contest is governed by the rules set by the governing body of Animation Olympiad.
** All the participants must abide by the code of conduct set by the governing body of Animation Olympiad 2015., failing which they may be disqualified from the contest at any time without prior notice.
** The governing body may substitute prizes, amend the rules or discontinue the contest at any time without prior notice or assigning any reason thereof.
** The governing body does not take any responsibility to notify participants of any aspect related to the conduct of the contest. You are requested to keep on checking this website for current updates.
** The ownership of Artwork / showreel will remain with the Artist only however Animation Olympiad and the Governing Body of this contest will have all rights and automatic approval to showcase , print , display and use these artworks and showreels in order to further promotion and publicity without asking permission of the artist.
** The governing body shall not be responsible for the outcome of any occurrences outside its control like power failure, slow Internet speeds etc during the contests.
** Data such as contact numbers, emails etc are the sole property of the Olympiad committee, its members, affiliates, sponsors or any third party associate which the latter can use, for marketing and promotional purposes.

Prizes:
** The prizes that will be awarded to the eligible winners cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash or exchanged for any other prize.
** Certain prizes are date specific and the winners must be available to collect them during the award ceremony.
** If the winner is not present during the award ceremony, the governing body reserves the right to confiscate the prizes.
** If the winner is disqualified for any reason then the governing body reserves the right to determine an alternate winner or not to award that winner’s prize, in its sole discretion.
