Competitions On Anti Ragging:
For wide publicity and promotion of Anti Ragging measures, UGC announces a competition for students, teachers and general public for the following activities

i. Poster designing on ragging & its consequences:
Entries are invited for designing a poster of 24X18 inches which must address the sensitivities associated with ragging while clearly informing the students about ill effects of ragging, punishments and the possible ways of stopping the ragging on the part of all stakeholders and also display Anti Ragging Helpline number (1800 180 5522), Anti Ragging Email (helpline@antiragging.in) and Anti Ragging website (antiragging.in).
The posters can be focused on three perspectives namely, students who are ragged, students who rag, the role of parents, teachers & society on the issue. The best three entries will be suitably rewarded.
ii. Logo/Icon slogan designing for anti ragging:
Entries are invited for designing the Logo/Icon on Anti Ragging. The Slogan should be in one line with 3-6 words which should encourage students not to do ragging and should be self explanatory in catchy phrases clearly given the message that Ragging is unwanted and should be stopped. The best three entries will be suitably rewarded.
iii. Essay competition on ragging and its effects on the students and the society at large:
Entries are invited for essay competition. The essay should not be more than 500 words on the topic “Creating ragging free environment in the Institutions of Higher Education-Role of Stakeholders”. Entries should be typed in double space in Times New Roman Font size 12. The best three entries will be suitably rewarded.
Selection Criteria:
** The selection of the best Poster, Logo/Icon, slogan and Essay will be done by an Expert Committee constituted by the Chairman, UGC. The decision of UGC shall be final & no representation in this regard, shall be entertained.
** The Intellectual Property Right of Posters, Logo, Icon, Slogan and Essays would rest with UGC and UGC would be free to make use of this material as per its will & wishes.
Eligibility:
The competition is open to all students, teachers & public at large. However the staff of UGC and its Regional Offices is not eligible to participate in the competitions.
