Panjab University is a name that speaks for itself. With students coming from all over the country, the institution is an Indian Kaleidoscope portraying the different colours of the subcontinent. This year, we present ANANT Twenty Sixteen, the 7th annual techno-cultural festival of Panjab University SSG Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur.

Dastaar is an identity depiction of who we are. There cannot be a better way for a Sikh to show off his style. The tradition of ‘Turban’ gives us Royalty. It also develops our mind for the sake of justice. To raise the flag of this honorable mission, Come forward to join this journey with “ANANT-Twenty Sixteen”.

General Rules:
1. Participants must carry their ID cards with them else thier participation will be cancelled
2. Each participant will have to tie a turban around his own head in 8minutes.

3. Every participant shall bring the following things:
** turban
** mirror
** pins etc

3. Participants should have the basic knowledge of importance of the Turban.
4. Pooni of the “pagg” should be pre-done
5. During tying , pagg should not touch the ground

Marking & Judging Criteria (50 Marks) :
** Appearance-10 marks
** Shape-10marks
** Style-10mark
** Finishing-10marks
** Questionnaire by Judges on the knowledge of Turban – 10 marks

A Brilliant mixture of flamboyance , Style and attitude that will redefine FASHION as you know it . We Promise to set your hearts racing as glamorous models set the ramp on fire with their attitude and creativity audacity , “ANANT- Twenty Sixteen “presents the Ultimate Fashion Extravaganza- where excitement levels reach dizzying heights as you become witness to the sensuous display of thought in form !!

Rules

Participants must carry their ID cards with them else thier participation will be cancelled
1. There will be 12 to 16 participants in each team.
2. The time limit is 10 to 15 minutes.
3. Fashion show will be theme based i.e. “YIN-YANG”.
4. If time limit gets exceeded then that team will be disqualified.
5. Any form of obscenity / vulgarity will result in disqualification from event.
6. Pre-recorded music should be brought in CDs (2copies 2 hour before starting of event).
7. The decision given by the judges will be final and un-questionable.

Marking & Judging Criteria

** Theme Based – 10 marks.
** Ramp Walk -10 marks.
** Creativity-5 marks.
** Grace , Energy , Expression & Confidence -10marks.
** Song Selection – 5 marks.
** Costumes & over-all Impact – 10marks.
